I've been to Beer Bros lots of times, but haven't reviewed it before so I guess this is overdue.

There are two sides to the establishment: bar out front and restaurant in the back with a private room for functions and groups. Nicely appointed in a historic building, the Old City Hall.

Biggest selection of craft beer in Regina. The only thing close to a macro you'll find is an import lager or two. Beers are generally of a good quality, but you'll find a few average and the odd great beer. They bring in kegs of seasonal beers to keep things fresh.

Service is usually pretty good, although it can be a little slow when things get really busy. Staff tries hard to be knowledgeable about the beer their beer, although, as always, certain staff members are better versed than others.

Food is excellent. Variety of upscale menu with lots of artistic options. Almost all of the meals are prepared with beer in the recipes. All have suggested beer pairings.

Meals are generally pretty reasonable, but the beers can be a little pricey. Considering they have stuff you can't get anywhere else in the city though, it's mostly justified.

One of my favourite places to go for a meal and/or a beer. Highly recommended.

Been to Beer Bros lots, only recently started going through their beer though. By far the best value there is the three-beer flight: $6, and soon you'll find something you like as they have about 16 brews on tap that can all be had on the flight. There's a smallish number of bottles but they're fairly well picked - probably thirty or fourty? I'm not even sure everything's listed on the menu. Good assortment of spirits too. Everything Canadian's decently affordable even in bottles, but there's pretty substantial markup on American and other import bottles.

The cuisine is pretty good, and pretty heavy. Fortunately for conscientious omnivores like myself, they have organic proteins on the menu, and most everything is from local Saskatchewan farms. They make fantastic bread that's stocked in some local delis around town, and their sister restaurant (The Willow on Wascana) is another of Regina's top culinary institutions (though really, there's not much competition). Try the pork belly for a main, and the fish cakes and the belgian fries are worthy starters or snacks for an evening of beer drinking. Occasionally they'll have brewers dinners where they bring in Canadian brewmasters and pair dishes with their beer - you know how it goes.

The servers are always attentive, though I don't think I've ever been there when it's too busy. There's a few guys who really know their beer, and questions are always returned with knowledgeable replies, even if they have to go off to ask someone else. Oh: when I was trying to find out what meats were organic or not, they went so far as to call their off-duty head chef to find it out for me.

Beer Bros is split into two: there's a dining room at the back, and a bar at the front. Decor-wise, it's a bit wanting for a place where entrées range $25 and up, and the dining room is always pretty dead.

As for deals, I think Friday is "beer o'clock" from 3-6pm, which I think means half-price appetizers. No beer deals that I'm aware of. Honestly, it's Regina though - I'm OK with paying a premium for a place like this, especially as an occasional treat, and even if my similarly poor fellow university students will hate me for it.
