Stopped in on a very quiet weekday afternoon - apparently after a crazy previous night. Only a few others around. We were just looking for a cool (literally and figuratively) place to hang out for a beer or two in between walking Duval. The bartender and another there off-duty were a pleasure to chat with. Great vibe. Great service. Pretty wide selection - something for all tastes, but nothing particularly rare. Great place for a beer in Key West.

Great option in Key West.

Known as the best craft beer selection in Key West. This seems to be true based on the hand-full of places I checked out.

Had a few Funky Buddha options as well as an array of craft drafts and bottles. I had a Fat Head's brew draft.

Located in a great location, just off of the main drag. High ceilings, nice bar and a few tables. Had a Galaga machine to waste your quarters on. Porch out front with a few tables and a large patio area sitting under palm trees.

The bartender was attentive and very friendly. Offered samples to members of my group to help them decide.

Also has a top notch wine selection. No food (I think). If I am back in Key West, I would definitely return.

If you want craft/micro beer in Key West, this is the place. The only real downside of the place, is there isn't a lot of seating. Staf was very friendly, and I will be stopping there, many times, the next time I'm in Key West.

Cool local vibe. On the beaten path, but almost hidden in the corner. Dog-friendly and laid-back while also maintaining a hip, classy vibe. Great beer selection. (I would say best in Key West for on-premise drinking).

This has the best unique and a harder to find beers on tap on the entire island. World Of Beer has more taps but it isn't a careful selection of quality craft beers it is just run of the mill beers you can find on most craft tap lists. That is and should be the absolute main reason you visit The Porch. The bartenders are very knowledgable and nice and the porch is nice to sit on and relax. Check it out you will thank yourself!

It lived up to the reviews that I had read before heading down to the keys. They had an excellent selection and the environment was top notch. The servers were on top of their game and were very knowledgeable.

Grabbed a Deviant Dales and introduced a friend to a few beers he had never tried. I wish we spent more time there. I did grab a bottle of CCB MZ on my way out to bring home.

This place was a great change of pace from the local Key West scene. It is off Duval Street on a quiet block. It is an old house that has had the main level converted to a bar. Very tight inside, but we hung out on the porch a good bit. Went multiple times in our 4 night stay in Key West. Selection is not huge, but there are several good beers on tap including some FL locals. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

This is one of the best beer spots in Key West. The selection is wonderful with a full array from stouts to saissons. The staff is quite knowledgeable and are good at selecting the right beer for the client's needs. I highly recommend The Porch to anyone that visits the Keys.

Huge thunderstorm rolled in while walking down Duval. Turned around to get out of the rain and see this gem. 20 quality taps, 100 bottles and very cool atmosphere. I did have the joy of being the only couple in the bar but Grubby, the bartender, was super cool and let my wife have several samples before she zeroed in on a choice. I had a Racer 5 and A Lil Sumpin, both were $5 on Happy Hour. Hated to leave but th rest of Key West was calling. If you do stop by ask about Abby, the rooster, who lives at the bar.

This quickly became our favorite place for a drink in Key West. They offer a nice selection of about 10 or so beers on tap and plenty more in 12oz or 750ml bottle format. We were particularly happy to see some offerings from Cigar City, but they had plenty of Dogfish Head, Terrapin, and plenty of others. Service was quick and helpful. The building makes for a great setting, and the porch itself offers plenty of entertainment below on Duval.

I was excited about stopping in to this place after all of the positive reviews it has received. This place deserves all the great reviews. Without a doubt the best place in Key West to get a beer.

The Porch is basically just a big house with a bar downstairs. There were 12 beers on draft, and all were high quality. I had Dogfish Head's Urkontinent. I had never seen this beer before. They had a couple Belgians as well as other quality beers. Talking to the bartender, he said they have high turnover of beer so everything stays fresh; i believe him. They even use nice, fancy glassware for the Belgians.

The price was pretty high. My beer was $8 on happy hour, discounted down from $10. I guess that is the price to pay to get a decent beer in Key West.

Indoor seating was limited to about six seats at the bar, a large booth, and a high top table. There was plenty of seating on the porch, and why wouldnt you want to sit out there anyway? They dont serve food but there are restaurants all over the place. I say bring your tent and camp out here all day because you will not be disappointed.

Finally, a place to get good beer in Key West.
It wouldn't take much to be the best craft beer destination in Key West (or probably all of the Keys). The Porch goes way beyond that with a nice atmosphere, good service, and a great selection, both on tap and in bottles.

Grab a table on the porch, and watch all of the sunburnt cruise ship tourists stumble up Duval St looking for Sloppy Joe's or Margaritaville.

We were there with another couple who are wine drinkers, they were very happy with the selection on wines, as well.

The Porch is probably the best beer and wine place in Key West. The vibe of the bar is excellent, especially given its proximity to Duval Street. The crowd seemed mostly local, and not necessarily that friendly to the common tourist. If you like good beer and wine you should take the time to walk in and make a selection from one of their chalkboards. Once it's clear that you are there for a fine beverage, not a tourist looking for a ghost tour, the patrons and staff are quite friendly. Their selection of drafts is excellent, but very similar to what you can get at many places in the mid-Atlantic region. Happy hour is the way to go, with discounted drafts and wines. They do not serve food.

Should be advertised as the "Southernmost Craft Beer Bar in the United States" in keeping with its location. What's not to like? A great selection of craft beer only, indoor and outdoor seating (this is The Porch after all), in a house formerly occupied by a doctor named Porter. If there is a downside it is that indoor seating is very limited, as it was crowded with beer geeks. As a result I sat outside with a draft DFH My Antonia - $4.00 during happy hour. A fine stop indeed. A required stop for any beer geek visiting Key West.

I was in the Keys for only 1 night and tried this place after reading about it on here. I'm soooo glad I tried this place. All of Duval street was litered with loud, annoying clubs and bars full of tourists, but this was a pleasant surprise.

It's located in the bottom floor of a huge, historic style Key West house. Seating in the bar is limited but it's a lot of fun to hang out on the patio or court yard or just sit on the stairs leading to the entrance.

A respectable selection of beers. Just make sure to ask for a glass if you are ordering a bottle.

So I found this place right off Duvall street at 11am. Just about the time I got thirsty for breakfast. My breakfast consisted of a bottled Hopslam, a draft Palo Santo and an atrogarant bastard for comparison. The ambiance is true key west. In a historic true to form key west architecture the porch is mixed with great service and great product in the heart of Key West. One thing that is hard to find in Key West is a bar WITHOUT any of the BMC's on tap. This place has none of them...THANK GAWD!!! The owner Chris is seriously cool and promised a Hopslam tap later this evening. Grubby the bartender made me feel more than welcome and I feel that I have known him for years. They have a selection of craft beers, bottled and tap that can't be found anywhere else on the island. If you are a craft beer fan, this is truly one of the few places to enjoy good beer, good service and good ambiance. Highly recommend and I will spend more than halves of days here when I visit. If you are looming for craft beers in Key West, this is your place. Apparently they have a large wine selection for the ladies and true wine connoisseur's. On a side note...they tend to give out free cranberry nectar to make room for the bottled nectar of the Gods!!!

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Not because it's the best beer bar I've been to, but if you've been to Key West you know that real craft beer is tough to find. I stopped in on the recommendation of a good BA and was not disappointed. I got to have Cigar City Maduro, DFH 90 mIn, and Dales Pale in the same session. They also have a bottle list a mile long. The sevice was good, although you sometimes have to pull the bartender from their regulars (which is understandable.)

They were just about to tap Hopslam and a few other gems when I was leaving. Wish I had a few more days here!

was super psyched to see a sign that said "craft beer + wine bar" as I was cruising Duval St in Key West growing tired of Macros in every bar. I ran in and was overwhelmed by the selection in the desert. Probably 1/2 dozen or more craft only taps, plus a nice selection of bottles. I quickly ordered a Terrapin (which we can't get in NY) and was psyched to be asked which one...and was even more psyched to hear that Big Daddy Vlady was available in bottle. Went back a few times while in town...had other Terrapin, some Bells, and some tap only Cigar City. Atmosphere was hipster and it was never overly crowded compared to the junk bars in the area...probably because it seemed like a house party and not a bar, it was the ground level apt of a residential building...easy to miss. Reasonably priced for what it was and where it was. As far as offerings, this is tops on the island and I had no problems getting attention at the bar (or even a seat...yet the bar and porch were constantly populated every time I was there).

I was very happy to find this place while I was down in Key West earlier this week. They weren't there 6 months ago when the wife and I were down. Key West really needed a place with decent craft beers.

The owners are very friendly and more than helpful with picking out beers to taste. Plus, they're willing to give you a taste of any of the beers on tap. I believe they have about a dozen on tap with a fairly large selection of bottles/cans to augment that.

I found the prices very reasonable, especially for Key West. I belive most beers were around $5, which is about what you'll pay for a draft of Key West Sunset Ale at most bars on the island! I will definitely be stopping by here whenever I'm down (as long as they manage to stay in business).

This place is great! I went down to Fantasy Fest and my buddy and i were on the hunt for some Cigar City Beers. Well, we found The Porch. This place is really hard to find as its in an apartment structure across from from The Whistle Bar. This place had a great tap selection: DFH, Cigar, Avery, Shipyard, Oskar, ect. However, they had a really fresh bottle section too. Avery's Collaboration not Litigation and Beast in bottles there (servred with proper glassware). We got a bottle of Cigar City Humidor IPA and Avery's Collaboration. The only issue i had was the "island" price. I think the bottles we purchased were jacked up a few bucks for the festivities however, i can't be sure. Nonetheless it was a little pricey. All and All worth the stop for sure!

After finding the place, the bar is located in a house that looks like it was an original house built 150 years ago. A small bar and nice seating area, and you can sit outside and overlook all that is going on Duval street. All the taps there were craft, and a couple imports, with a huge bottle selection. DFH, Stone, Avery, Bell's, Cigar City, etc. The bartender was actually the owner and got talking to him. Really nice guy, knows his products, and wants a great selection. He said, you can get a BMC anywhere, I don't want that. A hidden gem that I made sure of to hit everyday while I was there.

I had to add this place to BA because I was so impressed with the it. I was not planning on drinking any decent craft beer while in Key West except what I brought along, so this was a welcome surprise.

One night, while walking down Duval, all the power went out. This was during the lobster festival so there were tons of drunks in the streets. We decided to duck off down a side street, and like the previous reviewer, happened to see the craft beer sign. Looking up, we were surprised to see an old key west style house through the dark, surrounded by a wrought iron fence. The candlelight glowing from inside was a beacon.

Once inside we were impressed. What a great place to get away from the typical crawl. Great people, great atmosphere and great beer. The only letdown was when the lights came back on!

We had Left Hand Milk Stout, DF Sah'Tea, Orval and Bruery Orchard White. They also had BMC brews and a decent wine list.

Can't say enough about the place, check it out next time you're on Key West.

I visited this place while docked in Key West on a cruise. We were walking down Duval street and saw their sign mentioning "craft beer and good wine". Since previous research had shown most other places maybe carried, at most, some Dogfish Head, I decided to stop in.

VERY glad I stopped in here. Very nice atmosphere- it's located in an old historic home, and so it basically feels like youre walking into someone's personal bar room. Very spacious and clean. HUGE wine rack that takes up an entire wall, except for the big screen TV in the middle of it, with a PS3 hooked up to it. Blazing Saddles was playing when we walked in. This is a good sign.

The quality of the beer was good. Theyve only been open for a month or two, but the owners seem like the people who will make sure to keep the tap lines very clean.

Two of the owners were there working when I went in. They were very nice, and knowledgeable about beer. Had a good time talking to them. They let me try out any beer before purchasing a pint, and when I wanted a quick half-pint of something before rushing back to my cruise ship, they gave me one, even though their register wasnt set up to do half pints yet. Definitely seemed like some cool guys.

Being from New Orleans, which only has maybe 2 or 3 good beer bars, the selection seemed pretty good to me. Nice mix of US craft beers, as well as Belgians, and others. Any bar that has 8 taps, none of which is BMC, is bound to get my stamp of approval. Obviously it doesnt meet the selection of bars in Chicago or NYC, but for its location, its selection is GREAT. You wont be disappointed.

Food: N/A

Value: Standard prices compared to what I'm used to.

Overall: By far, best beer bar in Key West. I went to a few of the places listed here on Beer Fly, and this one blows them away. My wife and I loved Key West, and plan on going back soon (and not on a cruise ship, so we can have more than 7 hours), and when we do, we will definitely be spending a lot of time at The Porch.
