Aroma is malts and mild sweetness/medium grainy. The flavor is malts, fruit and a mix of caramel sweetness and an odd hint of warming alcohol in the finish.

Red colored ale with a medium sized tan colored head. Looks like 1000 other ales.

Smells metallic. Smells strongly of rusty nails.

Starts out malty and strongly tasting of burned sugar and caramel. And that is about it.

Mouthfeel is average.

Overall a completely average beer.

Looks like an American Red Ale. Very nice hue of red. Smells like an average ale. Nothing too catchy on the hints of the hops but very lightly used. Good carmel malty flavors. It tastes fairly well, surprisingly good. Nice and smooth in texture. Overall a good cold one satisfies.

Pours an amber color with a modest head. Although it does not retain particularly well, there is some light lacing.
The aroma is relatively simple. It consists of some caramel malt sweetness and toasted grain.
Medium bodied and smooth in the mouthfeel. There is a lightly sweet, even creamy, subtle coating of caramel that stands out at first. Later, there is an increased brown breadquality with some light hops spice. The finish becomes increasingly dry and with a dry tea leaf feel.
Overall, this one is fairly easy to drink. Although not particularly complex or memorable, I'm glad I was able to try "craft" beer from Japan.

Pours brown with a red hue and an one-inch head that lasts just a few seconds. Aroma is of caramel-like malts and a slight smokiness. The taste is very similar and very balanced. Very mild carbonation and a light body. Very drinkable if somewhat forgettable.

Pours a hazy brownish red in color.Smells like a Tootsie roll ( sugar that's just starting to caramelized but not all they way reduced ). Taste is very similar with lightly toasted malt notes that give the beer structure and Bosc Pear present on the mid and finish.

A: The beer is hazy reddish amber in color. It poured with a short light beige head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of caramel and toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of caramel and toasted malts along with a light amount of sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: For a Japanese craft beer, this amber ale is quite tasty and has a pleasant mouthfeel.

Bought a 330ml bottle from one of our local Asian grocery stores and poured into a glass.

Pours with a decent amount of cream colored head. The head dissipates relatively quickly, but leaves a cap of foam that remained the entire time I drank this.
Dark caramel colored, like honey or whiskey, with a slight haze.
Lots of bubbles rising up the glass.

Smells like toasted malt, with a hint of apricot.

A bit sweet. Lots of toasty malt flavor. Not much hop presence in the flavor or aroma. I'm getting a hint of pear.

Medium to heavy body with nice carbonation

I'm glad I picked this up. It's a really nice amber/brown ale.

Appearance: Hazy orange brown in color. Nice foamy head with good retention and nice lacing.

Nose: Carmel, candied fruit, and a tiny bit of malt.

Taste: Some toast, carmel, with a woody finish. Carbonation is a little high.

Notes: Nothing memorable, nothing unique. Not a bad beer at all, just completely average.

Pours a hazy honey orange-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and candied fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, caramel, and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable, but nothing really stands out as memorable to me.

Serving type: bottle.

More Japanese beer in California. This amber ale comes from a stubby 330 ml bottle. On to the beer:

Dark amber colored with orange hues. A short head is formed on top before dropping to a lace that has fine stick on the glass. The nose is a butter and malt bomb. Doughy and dark breads make the malt, but the buttery aspect is ghastly and to get plast. A little fruity ester note makes itself noted.

The butter that I feared from the nose is not as intense in the taste. It actually has a decent overall flavor, one that tastes more like a bitter than an American amber. Carmelized malt and a metallic fruitness at the start. Buttery and metallic midway through. The finish hints peach and some of the buttery flavor. Concerning the mouthfeel, it's light, slightly watery, and offering spiritzy carbonation.

Blah, blah, blah. Moving along now....
