Appearance: Amber/coral head with a crisp ivory head.

Aroma: Notes of grapefruit, raspberry, caramel, and 'earthy grape' - is how I would best describe it.

Taste: The aforementioned fruits come through with a spicy and earthy backbone.

Mouthfeel: Smooth with fairly light carbonation.

Overall: Considering that this was my first from Brouwerij West, and that I have had better Tripels, I found this to be quite enjoyable. However, I would have enjoyed a bit more carbonation. All in all, very good.

L: A bright peach tinted gold pour produces a lacy, rapidly dissipating 1” white foam collar.
S: Stone fruit – peach to apricot, citrus, more general fruit, traces of brown sugar, hint of floral.
T: Fruit, peach, orange, spice, tropical, biscuit to bread crumb, light caramel, coriander, some hard candy and banana with a mild herbal bitterness.
F: Very creamy medium body and medium high carbonation.
O: A very easy to drink tripel.

Appearance-Copper and amber unfiltered Belgian style tripel with a dark eggshell foam.

Smell-Spices, toasty

Taste-warm butter toast and a bitter citrus finish.

Mouthfeel-creamy and smooth with a good hot finish.

Overall-Good stuff, the mouthfeel and the finish really stabalize the beer as a whole and make it better.

A-

500ml into a tulip. Pours a hazy mid tone orange, yellow tinged dense head receded fairly quick to a cap which retained nicely, ok lacing.

Aroma is of sweet summer fruits, spicy with a touch of camphor plus a surprising pleasant note of dirty old sock.

The flavor is full and deep, evolves over a significant range. Sweetness stays in check as does the mildly dry twang before the aftertaste which too evolves significantly, into a lingering minor bitter. Medium full bodied smooth mouthfeel.
very nice
cheers

(Served in a tulip)
A- This beer pours a slightly hazy apricot-yellow body with a thick cream of light beige that sticks to the glass with each sip. There is a slow carbonation of tiny bubbles that trail up the glass.

S- The spicy phenol hint blends with a dried yeast aroma and some hints of earthy hops that take on some lemon pith and dry white wine notes in the finish.

T- The dried yeast character has some club soda ester notes and a dry finish with a softly pungent green hop flavor. The after taste shows the pungent hops growing more bitter and taking on a dandelion greens flavor.

M- This beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with a carbonic acid bite in the fizzy finish. There is no alcohol heat noticed.

O- This is a well-built Tripel that is mild in yeast character and depth. I prefer Tripels with a bit more fruity ester and some more depth aswellas just a touch of sweetness to it.

Pours a cloudy copper color with a creamy white head that leaves only a little spotty lacing down the glass.
The aroma is spice and a little yeasty funk and a bit of biscuit and citrus.
The taste is quite nice with a bit of banana and spice and a bit of dried fruit along with candied fruit and a decent lingering, light bitter finish.
The mouthfeel is medium, slightly bubbly and sticky.
Overall, a decent tripel that I quite enjoyed.

a: a thick, hazy bright orange with some nice copper & caramel notes in here. 2-3 finger solid slightly off-white head that is seeming to fade as i type this out. nice looking brew

s: sweet pears, banana, vanilla, strawberries, something slightly wheaty, a nice stone-fruit presence, more over-ripe pear. a unique smelling tripel

t: flavor follows the nose pretty well. starts off with the ripe pears and stone fruit. that fades into a nice yeast-spice (pepper and coriander). moves back into some sweetness coming from from the malt. the end of this has just the slightest hint of funk, and a very small alcohol presence

m: its on the lighter side, but quite well carbonated, so fills the mouth

o: what is sticking out to me is the mixture of fruit in here. normally with tripels i'm used to banana and clove. the pear was an interesting little addition here. i don't think this is better than some of the traditional beers of the style, but its definitely worth a try. my one complaint is that it could use a touch more spice presence to balance the sweetness

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Mild aroma of sweet malt, Belgian yeast with light orange and stone fruit juice. Flavor follows aroma with stone fruit juice, sweet malt and Belgian yeast. The taste is an odd combination of sweetness with a finishing dryness. Finishes with lingering phenolic fruit and tripel spices giving a additional bitterness to the hops. Medium bodied. Perhaps a bit astringent in the finish. Overall a lightly flavored, but enjoyable take on a tripel.
