Got the bomber at a local supermarket not far from the brewery. Upon opening, there seemed to be too much carbonation. Every sip turned into foam as soon as it left the bottle. Even pouring into a glass didn't help. Taste was lacking in hop flavor, yet plenty of malty sweetness. Almost had the finish of a sour. I've had this before at the brewery and don't remember it this way.

Pours a finger and a half of head on a hazy light straw body.
The aroma is faint lemon and grain.
The taste is mild bitter lemon and mild malty sweet.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.
It's fine.

Great hop aroma from southern New Zealand Nelson hops. Great grapefruit taste and very session able. Similar in fruit taste to the great sauv blancs / Pinot Gris of the same region. Under 30 IBU makes for a perfect food pairing beverage, especially wth seafood.

Yellow CA ipa pour, white head, good clarity. A little citrus in the nose, underwhelmed for a name like Impaler. Nelson's should drop hotter than this.
Taste, nuanced citrus, bitterness and caramel. Low carbonation. Could use less malt, more hops.

A standard bomber from Costco vs. the typical 750 from Iron Fist. Poured into a tulip showing a hazed light yellow/green with more of a golden orange in the light. Half inch of cap offered decent retention. Very witbieresque in appearance.
Notable nelson hop profile on the aroma yet with some wheat twang, touch of grapefruit rind. Clean aroma with no maltiness to confuse the palate. Taste follows given the lightness of the delivery. Spritzy carbonation and a bit more citrus on the finish, though more muddled lemon than grapefruit now. Light bitterness works with the pale malts but the finish is a bit hollow and brief.
Overall an interesting take but I find this a bit too dry to engage. There is some yeast notes with warming but a hop profile alone, particularly a mild one, does not make a beer.
