Dark brown colored body with hints of red, beige head at pouring that dissipates quite fast.
Nose of caramel, dark dried fruits, booze, oak.
Taste has medium sweetness at first then you get a big harsh bitterness /oaky flavors that hits hard your palate. Too much for me, it's like an American Barleywine, heavily bitter at the end.
Heavy bodied, long aftertaste, warmth inside your throat.

by JamFuel from Sweden
Pours a dark reddish brown, not a lot of foam.
Smell is sweet, with port, sherry, cherries and currants.
Taste is heavy and vinous. Plenty of oak, vanilla, cognac and some dark chocolate and ham. Nice bitterness rounds it out.
Mouthfeel is full, nice carbonation.
Overall, a complex and tasty quad. Would probably benefit from some age.
