Red Nose Rye' is a festive amber-red ale, using brewers’ and crystal rye malt, Munich barley malts, plus Columbus and Northdown hops, with a subtle spice flavor recalling German “Stollen” Christmas cake – fresh ginger, a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon, plus 32lbs of cranberries (15 barrel batch). Tastes of the holidays without being overly spicy or drowning the underlying beer.

A: The beer is very hazy reddish amber in color. It poured with a quarter finger high beige head that gradually died down, leaving only a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts and spices are present in the nose. Nutmeg becomes apparent as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has a mixture of caramel malts and spices—nutmeg seems to stand out in particular and cinnamon also becomes apparent as the beer warms up.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This isn't a bad beer if you are looking for something with Christmas spices, although you need to let this warm up for all of the aromas and flavors to develop.
