It's on my walk home, so I sometimes stop here in a pinch. They've got a fair selection of 6-packs, but lack Smuttynose and DFH. They have Boulder, Magic Hat, and other common craft brews with some more emphasis on imports, with the surprising presence of Old Peculiar. No big beers. Plenty of macrobrew. Prices are high, they've got a monopoly on local convenience.

Oh, I need to increase the characters to 500.. so never mind this drivel, but they give kids a candy sometimes and they have a $20 min on CC usage, so carry cash.

Although this is the only place I've seen to get beer in the immediate brookline village area, i'd rather hop on the t or bus to get a better selection. Their prices are quite high and they don't have much to offer. They do have some local craft beer, but nothing fancy, and nothing you can't find at any other liquor store in the state. I've always been treated nicely there, and there's never been a line at the checkout, so I'd say the service is pretty good. But, as was said before, their knowledge of beer is minimal. I suggest taking the walk up harvard ave to Trader Joe's for some less ordinary beer (and at better prices), unless you're in a desperate hurry, then you can probably find something ok, but don't count on it.

not the greatest store in the world, but the have more than you'd expect. plus, if you live in this area of brookline and you are sans car, this is pretty much your only option...and they know it. prices are a bit steep (even more so than marty's in some cases, i think), but they've got a pretty good micro selection, with all the major new england breweries pretty much represented. there's a minimal warm selection, limited to 12 packs of sam adams, sierra, harpoon and macros mostly, and the import selection is smaller than the micro, but not horrrible. the guys who work there are nice, but don't know a thing about beer.
