22oz waxed bottle poured into a CBS snifter.

A - The pour approaches black in color in the glass with some light getting through to show off streams of bubbles flowing up from the bottom of the glass. A finger of fine bubbled, foamy dark khacki head lingers briefly, slowly fading to the surface but leaving behind a thick, foamy collar and lacing on the glass.

S - Fruity, almost berry-ish up front, black coffee, milk chocolate, smooth vanilla/white chocolate sweetness. Quite chocolatey overall...more milk than white in the aroma - rather dessert-like.

T - Tons of chocolatey flavors - cocoa powder, semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate all mixed together. Perhaps even a faint trace of mint in there too. White chocolate...I'm not so sure. There is a smoothness and light sweetness that I can probably attribute to the white chocolate, but if it wasn't on the label I'm not sure I would pick it out. Roasty malt - coffee-ish coming in behind the big chocolate presence.

M - Medium/full body with a foamy and tingly carbonation that is at a medium intensity. Frothy and foamy and vaguely reminiscent of a milk shake - although the flavors of the beer probably trick the mind a little bit in this direction.

O - Overall, a good stout that is well made, smooth and silky in feel and flavor. Rich with chocolate - quite a dessert beer. Expected to be "wowed" by this beer, but wasn't...still I find this to be a solid and very drinkable stout. Feels right with me sitting on the couch on this snowy night.

Pour is dark brown, opaque, tan bubbly head. Nose has a light roast. Chocolate is fairly strong present with some malt backbone. Bit of an off aroma metallic aroma and a touch green, Taste has a lot of sugar and sweetness up front, Malt and a bit of chocolate mid palate, back has that same off flavor. Carbonation is strong, not much rich malt depth, body is a hint thin and carb is a bit strong.

Bottle from Proof Bottle Shop.

EVERYONE please let this beer warm up quite a bit before drinking! I accidentally left it in the cooler a bit too long, and I'm glad I left it sitting out for about an hour and a half before really getting into it.

Poured into a small CCB snifter and the color is the deepest opaque brown with some dark chocolatey color around the edges with a twinge of deep red. Decent amount of tan head that lasted about a minute before fading down to just a film across the head and some larger bubbles around the collar. Nice sweet milky aroma with some milk chocolate, vanilla and a very faint touch of bourbon. Taste was very much a blend of dark chocolate and the sweeter white chocolate. Lots of lactose sweetness too. Still that wonderful touch of what I would call bourbon. Did they barrel age this one? Nicely rich and low carbonated. Really glad I snagged this one!
