This is a phenomenal beer. Nose and taste are strong chocolate. A little bourbon and vanilla on the nose as well. I'm not getting much coffee but it could be due to the age (2015, so a little over six months). Feel is a little thin but overall a wonderful stout.

Pours an opaque dark brown with khaki colored head, very thick pour. Coffee, cinnamon rolls, chocolate, vanilla, and nuts on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied and viscous. Finishes with some sweetness and nuttiness to go along with the cinnamon roll.

22 ounce bottle into snifter, 2015 vintage bottling. Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oats, dark bread, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, light char, and roast/toasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and spice notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oats, dark bread, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, light char, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oats, dark bread, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and spice flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet and spice balance, with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/spice bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible coffee/spiced imperial stout! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and spice flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. Really great balance between cinnamon roll and coffee stout flavors. A highly enjoyable offering.

L: Dark brown pour, looks black in the glass with a finger of brown head.
S: Sweet coffee, slight cinnamon.
T: More cinnamon in the taste, big coffee. It's a good mix of bitter and sweet, both come in waves. Very nice with two flavors present.
F: Medium thickness, but slick and doesn't coat well.
O: very nice beer but would love a ba version to kick it up bit

Poured into a snifter. Amazingly balanced aroma - not overly cinnamon. But the taste! So balanced! And this had a few months on it! Overall I would crush this again!

From bottle. Half finger dark brown head. Black with brown oil slicks. Smells like dropping cinnamon into coffee. Figured it would be cinnamon hot but isn't. A milder cinnamon that offers a sweet spice to the coffee profile. Very rich feel. Coffee-like.

2015.

A: Beautiful coffee pour, deep, rich and lustrous, with a shortly lived, dark hickory-bronze head of short statue and retention. Dead black in the glass with a calm demeanor of carbonation. No window dressing.

S: Freshly baked cinnamon rolls and freshly grounded coffee beans, nailed it. Nice, even toned spiciness, with a goldilocks strength, just right. Light brown sugar, nutmeg, and baked apple hints. Its almost scary, how well they portrayed the cinnamon rolls here.

T: Earthy, rich silky dark roast coffee with complimentary cinnmamon roll highlights. Its like i just dunked a freshly baked cinnamon roll into a gourmet coffee. Sweet spiciness with a beautiful coffee roast backing is the highlight here. The spiciness is the icing on the cake to an already solid stout quality beer. Some apple-cinnamon toast with an earthy fresh roasty coffee leave on the tongue. Easy 4.5 flavor wise here.

M: The oats make this a silky smooth affair, creamy and viscose, deep roasted warmth of fresh ground beans, no carbonation and a hearty, heavy feel on the tongue.

O: Overall an easy A offering for me, perhaps even without the cinnamon roll twist. The cinnamon roll influence is a nice breakfast style twist on a stout, that i can't remember or know of being done before. I could easily replace this for my morning coffee, its coffee base is that rich and fresh with a breakfast cinnamon flair. Big on substance, rich in flavor.
