Awesome brew. I wish there were more like it. Hoppy like an IPA but with red/amber maltiness and a lock from the rye.

Poured to a slightly hazy rusty amber, with small head that dissipated quickly and slight lacing that did not stick around either. Nose was muted, but what I got was some grapefruit and pepper. Taste was decent mix of citrus and spice (pepper) similar to a rye whiskey. Likewise, mouthfeel was medium bodied and a peppery aftertaste. All and all a pleasant red IPA

This is a magnificent Beer, Has a tremendous amount of flavor. Lets begin with the looks. Poured into my favorite Tulip Glass revealed a deep and rich Amber appearance. Little to no head even when swirled. I might have had this beer too cold to tell. Moving on to Smell. On the nose, the aroma is typical IPA. A nice aroma of Tropical fruits; citrusy in character. Along with the fruitiness there is the underlying yeasty goodness. Now for Taste. Well done Balanced all the way through. In the front, A pleasant Sweetness with notes of Pineapple and maybe slight mango or Guava. subtle and smooth Citrus notes follow into a gradual bitterness. The Rye malt is not so much a highlight of the beer but it must contribute to the mouth feel. the finish is refreshingly dry no overwhelming sweetness to speak of. Moving on to Feel. Almost perfect mouth feel. Full and creamy on the pallet, medium bodied. this is what really pulls a Beer together for me. This beer aces it in the Mouthfeel. Overall, Id say this Beer is a winner!

The pour is ruby red. The taste is peppery rye, mild grapefruit, mild hop resin, & some dank bitterness leading towards the finish but it's nothing overly sharp & bitter. This is one of the best rye IPA's that I've had, the mosaic hop really shines in this beer. Cheers! B

CAN:
Doesn't showcase either Mosaic hops particularly well, but I do like the spicy rye malt and its treacle-y amber malt leanings which help make it more interesting than your typical rye IPA. Floral and a bit resinous, which aren't characteristics I'd normally associate with Mosaic. Oddly, the usual tropical fruit and subtle blueberry Mosaic brings is absent here.
Toasted malt. Caramelized sugars. Dried grapefruit. Bread crust. Scintillae of herb.
Medium-bodied. Overcarbonated. Smooth. Coating. Wet. Unrefreshing.
No Troeg's Nugget Nectar, but it's a drinkable and enjoyable red IPA that I'm glad I nabbed a sixer of once even if I see no need to ever buy it again.

Pretty good. Never heard of it before but got it in a mix and match six pack. Good tasting nice feel I would get again given the opportunity. Love terrapin so I’m glad to see them putting out good stuff.

Can pour. It says its one of their "seasonal sessions" but it's way above session strength.
Dark red pour with a large, offwhite head.
Smells much more strongly of rye than of mosaic... it's actually pretty hard to suss out the hops. It's a sharp, pleasant aroma.
Tastes, again, very rye-heavy. It starts off tasting bitter and bready, it's a tiny bit fruity in the middle, but then ends sharp and bitter. It's not bad, but you kind of wonder what they were going for. The rye completely overpowers the mosaic.

Calling this one an IPA is a bit of a disservice - it is much darker and perhaps more complex than the typical IPA offering. The color is a deep red - almost brown. The aroma is heavy on the rye. The taste is complex, with elements of the rye well balanced with sweeter notes. An unforgettable glass!
