Deep ruby red with a sweet smell and pungent fruity aroma from the hops. Taste isn't too sweet but plenty of chewy malt. The mosaic hops come off as dank with a hint of pine and fruit.

12oz can into a tulip.

A: Pours a clear, vibrant amber with 1/2" white head that sits down pretty quickly. Retention isn't bad. Lacing is minimal.

S: Lots of rye & crackery malt. The Mosaic is detectable, but that rye note really steals the show.

T: Strikes a nice balance between big malt, resinous hoppiness & rye. So, rye & an almost doughy malt character lead off. Next is oily, resinous hops with a mild citrus undertone. Finishes pleasantly bitter. I like it.

M: Carb is a touch on the lower side & the body overall is pretty malty with a muted syrupy character. Overall it works.

O: Not my fave Terrapin offering, but pretty solid.

Dark amber red with a large frothy tan head.

Strong red ale caramel malt base and earthy aromas. Slight hop nose with a little bit of rye.

The mosaic hops are a lot more noticeable in the taste than the aroma. Also bready, with some toasted notes. A little peppery on the back end and a little bit of bitterness in the aftertaste.

Nice body. Very full and smooth.

I am a fan of this. It drinks a little more like a hoppy amber than an ipa, but the rye and mosaic hops are both distinctly noticeable, and pair well together.
