Aroma: citrus , pine, grass
Appearance: slightly hazy, mostly clear. Golden yellow color. Barely a head.
Taste: hoppy, but not overly. A little citrus. A little touch of soapy aftertaste.
Feel; very drinkable. Refreshing. Lively and light even though carbonation seems average best.

Pretty good. I would say slightly under par for terrapin, slightly above for green flash.

Poured from an admittedly old bottle dated 111914 on bottle neck into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. Purchased at Wine Warehouse (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Orange amber with 1-finger nearly white head which drops moderately quickly to leave a thick band of clingy lacing.

S: Heavy orange ginger in the aroma with some citrus hopping and light pale malt

T: Flavor also really heavy on ginger with some tangerine/orange juiciness but not much in the way of malt flavor. Tangy citrus in the finish. Moderately bitter. No yeast or alcohol presence.

M: Clean and pretry creamy with light-medium body and lighter than usual carbonation to add to the creamy impression.

O: A beer for ginger beer lovers, one of whom I am not.

Sweet citrus and vanilla then slight to moderate hops, orange peel, grapefruit, not too much malt very subtle even. Sweet. Excellent beer. Would buy again.

A: poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass, orange amber with a large soapy white head that dissipates leaving whispy lacing, clear

S: citrus hops that are heavy on orange, light pineapple, malty sweetness

T: very sweet with an odd peppery spice, orange or tangerine is there but not pronounced, more malty than bitter

M: sticky with lower carbonation

O: kind of just a malty IPA with some odd pepper spice thrown in

"East meets west with the coolest collaboration brew in recent history. Terrapin and Green Flash have teamed up to make a Tangerine Cream IPA that will tickle your inner child while it satisfies one of life's guiltiest pleasures. Brewed in the style of an American IPA. Collaboration release between Terrapin and Green Glash, released May 2014 in 22 oz. bottles and on draft.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle to a Terrapin snifter glass. Served above 57º Farhenheit.

(Appearance) Pours a crisp frothy foam head of a pale tan cream color over a hazy and cloudy orange amber body with moderate spritely carbonation. Retention is good and lacing is light and spotty. 4

(Smell) Spicy, peppery nose with tart and bitter citrus rind, a biscuity and moderately toasted caramel syrup malt body. Hop profile is citrusy, lemony, peppery and mildly dank. Potency is medium. 3.5

(Taste) The flavor is more balanced but also reserved in flavor. Slick, lightly chewy caramel and pale malts are joined by a mild-mannered citrus and peppery profile. The tangerine and spice characters are fairly mellow with more of a hoppy citrus character providing the flavor and bitterness. It's a little closer to a standard west-coast IPA than I had hoped for, very drinkable and light but not much to set it apart, and not nearly enough in the way of Tangerine or Dreamsicles. 3.5

(Mouthfeel) The texture is slick, lightly chewy and mildly dry. Carbonation generates a light frothiness for a smooth, silky mouthfeel. Balance is nearly even between sweet and bitter characters, generally light throughout. Body is shy of medium for the style, medium overall. Alcohol presence is low and there are no off characters to note. 3.5

(Overall) Although it's got a light essence of tangerine peel for some fairly background citrusy flavor, overall impressions of Tangerine Dreamsicle are lukewarm. It does have high drinkability and good balance going for it, but the label simply hints at something so much more creamy and citrus-driven than what we have here. It's primarily an enjoyable IPA- don't set the bar too high on a wildly unique flavor profile and you shouldn't be too disappointed. 3.5
