I had this beer on tap at Max's Taphouse in Fells Point. At first glance, the beer has a cloudy light orange body that is pretty unique. The head was thick with steady residual lacing. Big aromatic tangerine notes combined with distinct hops aroma make for a pleasant smell. Citrus first hits the palate. The beer then mellows to a smooth, creamy finish (dreamsicle-like). The mouthfeel is full but not thick (think wheat beer-like). Overall, a refreshing sweet-tangy taste. Everything about this beer on paper is not what it seems. The 6.5% alcohol is barely tasted, masked by the beer's deliciousness. Even though the beer has 80 IBU's the beer is not very bitter. Rather, it is refreshingly dry. The beer is tasty, somewhat sessionable, and should be offered every summer.

22 oz bottle of Tangerine Dreamsicle shared by B&B (thanks)
Presumed bottled on date stamp (presumed bottled on date): Jan. 2014.

Slightly hazy amber body with a frothy, bone-colored head

Sweet fruity and hoppy aroma with plenty of generic citrus.

Flavor: pine and citrus hop flavors mix with a substantial spice load (mainly ginger) and a subtle malt background.

O: Crisp and lively, with enough ginger to stimulate the tongue. Medium-high carbonation.

Pours a translucent pale amber with a cream colored head and nice lacing. The nose is distinctly tangerine, but the hops shine through. The mouth feel is heavier than expected. There is nice tangerine flavor up front with a slight cream and caramel backbone, however the finish is rough and bitter.

Overall, I enjoyed this beer more than expected. I was pleased that it wasn't overly sweet, but the finish turns me off.
