2014 bottle. Khaki head that fades.
Pumpkin, cinnamon, spices. Had some cocoa and chocolate flavors. Fun seasonal offering but I probably wouldn’t drink it outside of October.

Thanksgiving 2015!
22 oz. bottle (dated 2014) poured into a Duvel tulip style glass. Beer comes out a nice dark brown out of the bottle then gets a darker brown to black as it rises up into the glass. Slightly darker than kaki colored head, mostly small bubbles with some excellent lacing.
Smells like it's going to be a pumpkin pie spice sugar bomb. Cinnamon, cloves/nubmeg, maybe some ginger. Can't tell if there's really any pumpkin in there or not. Some slight coffee/chocolate aromas on the back end. Based on the smell, you'd expect this to taste too sweet.
WRONG! Tastes great! Certainly very sweet, but this is the perfect tasting fall/Thanksgiving time beer. Some sweet dark roasted grains provide an excellent base and the cinnamon, cloves/nutmeg, and ginger really are more of an excellent compliment. I know pumpkin doesn't really have much of a taste on it's own, but it certainly has an earthy flavor in there that I would gather to be pumpkin, nice and spicy at the end, hops are actually detectable, earthy and herbal/spicy.
Mouthfeel is probably the best part of the beer. Nice full bodied beer with a nice lingering long lasting flavor. Modest carbonation level with no bite from it or the alcohol. Smooth feel that works its way to sweet with a creamy feel at the end. Way more drinkable than I expected. Another solid brew from a solid brewery. Thanks Paschal for sharing this one!

2014 vintage, 22oz wax top bottle poured into a goblet
A- pours pitch black in color with a small creamy khaki colored head that quickly reduces to just a ring around the edge of the glass
S- nice roasty base with aromas of smoke and char. Underlying cinnamon & nutmeg, with some pie crust and vanilla cream rounding it out
T- chocolaty base with some flavors of dark fruit, gives way to some roasted charred malt. Cinnamon and nutmeg kick in mid-palate, along with notes of cola & hints go vanilla. Picking up a little bit of burn on the finish, not sure if that's from the ABV, or if they snuck some pepper in there
M- heavy body with low carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel and a slightly chewy finish
O- bold flavors, even after a year of aging. The roasted malt matches well with the intense spicing

A-Black in the glass, but clear amber brown around the edges. Not much head or carbonation.
S-Nutmeg, cinnamon and other spices. Mild pumpkin and some roasted malt.
T-Good bit of pumpkin, spices come through as well. The porter base is there as well.
M-Tad watery and a flat.
O-I love pumpkin beers, I am biases. Even at a year old this is yummy.

A fun pumpkin porter for the fall. Nice pumpkin fall spicing to go with the more robust nature of the porter. Smell was malt heavy with spice finish, while taste was more balanced and sweeter.
