A- Pours a dark black with a tan head. Bad pour on my part so not enough head to leave a decent lacing.
S- smells like a medium roast coffee with hint a chocolate coming though on the nose.
T- Coffee but its not over powering as you still get notes of the oatmeal stout underneath.
M- Medium bodied with a solid coating. light to medium carbonation.
O- A very good coffee stout. true to the sense on the coffee but it still lets you palate other notes from the beer.

Thanks to a trade from thatoneguymike. Was supposed to get a CnR WnB but the Polar Vortex killed it. So he send a second box with this in it!

A delicious coffee stout. A little sweet, that's how I like it. Blew Founders Breakfast Stout, my coffee go-to, out of the water.

A - DARHK, Black. Coffee colored head that retains. I like to judge some beers by the color of the head. Usually can't go wrong.

S - Coffee, caramel, licorice, molasses, toffee, vanilla.

T - Wonderful fresh, not coffee from your local 7-11, but coffee from a specialty shop. It's delicious for a non barrel aged coffee stout. A hint of sweetness, not overpowering. I keep sipping the damn thing. Alcohol is well hidden, doesn't make me cringe one bit.

M - Full bodied. Definitely not watery. I dislike stouts that are watery. If I wanted watery, I'd be drinking something else. Sticks to your palate, but doesn't overpower it. That's why you keep sipping.

Overall, a wonderful offering from Terrapin. Probably my favorite non BA coffee stout as of today. It ruined a lot of coffee stouts for me, including Pipeworks Coffee Abduction and Breakfast Stout. If you know something comparable to this or better, please PM me.

Black, beige head.

Emphatic chocolate and toffee on the nose.

Chocolate and cappuccino with a just noticeable heat from the alcohol. Slightly nutty, a bit of a marshmallow flavor and the chocolate is more so milk than dark. Roasted malts keep this rich and robust.

Expectedly dense and creamy.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a stemmed tulip glass on 2013/06/14

A: Rich, black in color; definitely opaque. It pours a short, thick dark tan head that settles to a thin collar.

S: There is a big coffee nose on this beer; there is rich, sweet malt; lots of chocolate and roast notes and nice and boozy.

T: Again, dominated by coffee. Still lots of other flavor notes: bittersweet chocolate, dark roasted malt all balanced with a nice hop bitterness drying the beer out. It finishes very long and is dry, roasty and a bit bitter.

M: Very full and round on the palate, creamy; medium/med-high body and standard carbonation. Nicely done considering it is only 8%.

O: A very tasty example of your coffee stout; nice balance.
