On tap at Bonds Tavern in West Orange. Pours an effervescent, golden hue with minimal frothing. Hop-forward, assertive aroma with hints of pine and grapefruit. Similar taste.

Poured from a 22 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden amber with a medium white head. The aroma is a nice blend of hops and oats. The taste is slight hops, grains and some citrus. A very good beer.

Bottle:
This beer pour a very clear orange golden, with a fluffy white head and nice drapes of lacing.
The nose is a combination of grain, grass, and a lemony-citrus like hop note.
Taste is heavy on the grains, very malty without being sweet. The lightly citrus flavor - sort of a lemon-grass note - plays the countering role. But the main flavors are of dried grass, grain, and by the middle of the taste, oat. The oat leans the feel towards drying to chalky (typical for this adjunct for me) - but never quite gets there. The beer ends with a light earthy pine - more woody than needle.
My first few sips of this, I was not thinking much of it. It seemed to highlight the oat, but seemed to offer little other and seemed a tad bland. But as I got to analyzing it, I started to realize there was a little more in there, and that it was a balanced beer that did have a some flavors to enjoy.

Drinkers say they desire more dryness in hoppy beer until they drink a truly dry hoppy beer. The truth is that even the biggest, baddest and more aggressive showcase for hops need support, balance and complexity from malt. With the employment of oats, the Terrapin brewers take a page out of the English oatmeal stout and use the grain for a similar purpose in pale ale.
Their All American Oat Pale Ale pours a golden and light amber hue with slight translucence and crowned with a frothy white cap. Hoppy aromas abound with citrus and herb- grapefruit and lemon lead but with a tea-like presence of sassafras and honey. Its taste if faintly glazed with candied nuttiness in a granola kind of way.
Toasted breadiness outlasts its caramelized sweetness yet gives the needed support and balance to the exotic hop favors that rise to prominence on the middle palate. Lemon, white grape, white grapefruit, kiwi and passionfruit bounce from the malty substrate and trend herbal, pleasantly grassy and sharply bitter in finish.
Medium-light in body, the dry pale ale allows for a dominant showcase of nouveau hops but does also on the backbone of a creamy and slick texture. The oats provide a dextrin rich texture to take an edge off of the biting hops and prevents over drying the taste. With the beer's underlying mineral and seltzer quality, the oats are a needed element to bring the flavors together without interfering with the hop and malt interplay.

pours a clear, golden amber with a medium head that poofs. nose; lemony hops, & old pennies. taste; toasted grain, bitter lemon rind, citrus hops, & a very strong metallic/acetone note. more metal on the finish. medium carbonation & mouthfeel. hmm, a little simple & lager-y. the metallic overtones here kill the beer. it's so strong, i suspect something might be off with this bomber; i may have to try again later.

I'm a fan of the oat pale ale style. This one from Terrapin was smooth with biscuity and bitterness balancing out nicely. Great golden color. Definitely recommend.

Bomber. Bright light golden color, thin white head, soapy lace. Citrusy tropical aroma. Tastes is mostly toasted grain, some bitter grassy hops finish it off. Thin to medium crisp feel. Was hoping for a little more hop taste from this one.
