A: Pours copper red, and you can see right though. Nice head that swirls nicely. Looks great.
S: Smells sweet, belgian yeast, not getting much hops here. Smells almost like barleywine, which is good for me.
T: Spicy, bit piney, sweet. Still not getting the hops, not a deal killer but would have like some here.
M: I tried to drink this one like most IPAs and I almost choked. Booozy! Not a bad thing, but beware. Nice smooth feel, wakes up the palate for sure with the booze.
O: Not the best BIPA I've had so I marked it down a bit, but a solid offering. Definitely worth a few pints.

From notes 7/5/12: Pours a clear orange gold with 2 fingers of billowy white, frothy, soap bubbly head that has nice retention but leaves only a thin etching of lace. Aroma is Belgian yeast, bread, some lemon, grass and a hint of sour. Taste mirrors the nose with the addition of biscuit and caramel malt, a mild, pleasant hop bitterness and a slight peppery prickle in the finish. Aftertaste is bittersweet and lingering.

Labelled as Monks Revenge. Bottle to goblet.
Aroma is apricot, orange, yeast, mold. Look is cloudy yellow-orange. Small head, but creamy looking....lasting. a touch of vinegar. Some Wang, but the sweet fruitiness and creaminess keep it pleasant. Medium carbonation.
A nice Belgian.
