Solid black color. Medium body and carbonation with a nice creamy feel. Aroma is chocolate, malt, heavy cream and a bit of black coffee. Taste is identical, chocolate is slightly forward but all the other flavors show up really well. The chocolate coats the tongue and lingers a bit. This was an excellent version of the style and very enjoyable

Dark brown-to-black pour with a nice 1/2 finger of chocolatey beige head.

Lots of metal on the nose, followed by oats, milk, faint chocolate shavings. As the head recedes I get more milk chocolate/syrup on the nose.

Flavor nails the chocolate milk vibe perfectly. Nice roasted malts open, following with some skim chocolate milk notes, actual chocolate, milk/lactose, and a finish of coffee and ashy malt. Very nice execution.

Feel is creamy and smooth, with a tight and busy carbonation, and a roasty coffee character that stays till the end.

Overall, surprisingly reminiscent of Shock Top's Shockolate Wheat (not a bad thing) but less adjuncty and more wholesome. Very nice chocolate milk vibe nailed here, and according to their title that's what they were going for. Nice work.

I picked up a single can for $2.25 in the Seasonal Craft Beer section at Total Wine. I really enjoyed this one. The chocolate flavor is nice and not too overwhelming. I wouldn’t drink this all the time, but it’s good to have something different.

a) The chocolate kills the head retention and lace, but starts off looking good, neat dark brown body with dark tan 2 finger head.
s) Aromas of cocoa, walnuts, and milk mix with a slight pine/malt base, but here's a metallic, Aluminum can like false note that knocks it down a quarter. Can a beer be canned like a wine is corked?
t) Taste shines up the rich, almost dark chocolate core with notes of cream, coffee, cocoa and walnuts. The balance is nice with malt, pine hop, and bitterness (no nice in pepper infused chocoalate) but with main bill remaining, without being too sweet, the silky, chocolate taste.
f) Creamy and full. Low carbonation. Finishes nicely with no cloying taste, all dry and sweet at same time, great dessert beer. last one of the night or first one at Sunday noon.
o) As with all things Terrapin, must try. A great and different chocolate milk stout.

Best by 4/7/18. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a khaki head that falls leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Subtle hints of roasted coffee, cocoa, anise and milk. The flavors follow the nose. Some chocolate along with some hints of hazelnut. Lactose is there without dominating. Strong malt backbone. It's not sweet and not bitterness, it's balanced. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's smooth and easy to drink.

This is a nice milk stout. It's not flashy and is more on the traditional side, which works.

Pours a dark brown so dense it appears black, producing 2 fingers of deep mocha, frothy, short-lived, head that leaves decent lace for the style. Aroma is roasted malts, dark bittersweet chocolate & Hershey's syrup, toffee, a hint of dark fruits & a faint hint of anise/licorice. Taste is Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, toffee, prune, fig & a little spice. Aftertaste is sooth toasty cocoa. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy bodied, smooth & more silky than creamy. An excellent dessert beer. Try it over vanilla ice cream.
