Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass

A: Dark black pour, with a thin light tan head that doesn't last long

S: You can smell the chocolate, and roasted malts

T: Very chocolatey sweet with a tinge of alcohol on the backend... not overly sweet but definitely one of the sweeter milk stouts I have tasted

M: silky smooth, low carbonation, slight bitterness

O: Great dessert beer. Very much 6% ABV Chocolate Milk. I will buy again, but it is definitely not a daily drinker.

Liked it better than a couple other milk stouts I have tried.

12oz bottle from Dopplelbockulus – Thanks Charley!
Notes taken 11-30-13 with my Sierra Nevada Balloon Glass

First time with this one as well…

A: Dark muddy brown approaching black in the glass as it settles. Minimal mocha tan head that fritters away in mere moments. Looks still with a shiny gloss. Low level of stick remains at each tip of the glass.

S: Bitter dark chocolate and dark roasty malted grains make up much of the nose. Hints of molasses and soy with a brown sugar sweetness. Nice nose that definitely delivers on the cocoa.

T: Liquid chocolate love! Really is very reminiscent to a Yoo-Hoo. Cocoa and dark roasted grains with a moderate earthy bitterness. The beer is relatively sweet from the lactose but manageable and the alcohol is well disguised all throughout. Nice but the chocolate does make up most of the flavor here so a little one note in that sense.

M: Has a dense heaviness and seemingly low amount of carbonation but with a light and somewhat watery consistency. Sleek coating across the palate and again finish is a touch watery.

D: This one definitely delivers on the Cocoa Bean’s. Rich with chocolate flavors but not much else going on. Not quite a favorite but definitely great to have tried.

Cuvee with the WnB and you have something special tell you what!
