I am a big fan of Chocolate Stouts or Bocks, especially in the winter time. I saw this one at Total Wine and it looked promising so I gave it a shot. I was slightly disappointed with Terrapin's Pumpkinfest, so I was hoping they would redeem themselves with this one, and they did. The color was a nice, dark, black, and the head non-existent. Some chocolate beers will be bitter or more coffee flavored than chocolate, but this, true to its name, had a nice milk chocolate flavor and was very smooth. I really enjoyed this beer and don't mind paying the $8.99 for only 4 beers. I will definetly look for this beer again.

Engine oil black in color. Poured with a short mocha beige foam that qui kly dissipated. Sweet chocolate aroma followed by roasted malt and a hint of herbal hops at the end. Creamy smooth feel with subdued carbonation from the middle to the end. Roasted malt flavor up front followed by chocolate with tangy herbal hop bitterness underneath. Powdery chocolate  and herbal hoppiness continues to the end. Finishes with a tangy hop bite, a semi-dry finish and roasted malty, chocolatey aftertaste.

12oz Bottle poured into Pint Glass.

A- Creamy three finger tan head with nice retention of lacy patches. Dark velvet black.

S- Nose features sweet milk chocolate/powdered cocoa with a nice roasted malt sweetness.

T- Just like a milk chocolate bar...sweet milk chocolate layered with dark roasted malts.

M- Classic Milk stout qualities. Medium bodied, creamy and smooth.

O- A great take on Milk Stout. A great desert beer!
