12 ounce bottle -> Westbrook Brewing snifter

A - pours up an obsidian black color with a nice creamy one and a half finger head which fades pretty quickly. The is a minimal amount of lacing.

S - smells just a Hershey Bar!!!!

T - sweet and chocolately with a subtle roasted finish. About what you'd expect. While very sweet, it is not sickeningly sweet.

M - thick and chewy with minimal carbonation.

O - Love this. Glad I have three more bottles to enjoy at a later date.

A- pours black with just a bit of light seeping through, small creamy tan head retains nicely, leaving a small layer to float of top

S- not surprisingly, it does smell like chocolate milk. Sugary lactose sweetness with just a hint of roasted malt aroma, smells as expected

T- this tastes more like chocolate milk than any milk stout that I've tried. There's a nice sugary sweetness that isn't over the top and meshes nicely with thy chocolate flavors. Flavors of dried prune and fig kick in near the finish with a sweet and sugary linger

M- medium body and carbonation with a silky mouthfeel that leads to a smooth and crisp finish

O- it is what it says it is, and quite enjoyable at that. Too often, these styles can be to sweet or artificial tasting, but Terrapin did a nice job with this one

A-Pours a pitch black color as do most stouts. Head is thick, luscious, and coffee colored. Leaves a decent amount of lacing on the sides of the glass.

S-Chocolate, sugar, milk. Sweet, but not over the top.

T-Chocolate is the overarching note as expected. Chocolate fades at the middle of the palate into a slightly bitter dark chocolate/coffee flavor but finishes with the semi-sweetness of milk, sugar, and chocolate. Terrapin achieved a subtle balance here.

MF-Creamy, rich, but with a touch too much carbonation. Finishes semi-rough. Full bodied.

O-My favorite milk stout so far. Nice balance on all fronts.

Moo-Hoo is a seasonal offering from Terrapin Brewery in Ga.

The brewery puts out some good stuff, but this is BY FAR my favorite from the brewery for what I've tried.

Moo-Hoo smells like silky-smooth chocolate.

THe choco isn't as prominent in the taste as it is the nose, but it's definitely there. GREAT taste. hmm... it's light for a stout, but the mouthfeel is amazing! very silky... stays on the palate for long long time. And there's a bang of late sharp hop that helps hide the 6.1abv.

Mouthfeel isn't just about thickness ya'll... this beer IS thin for the style... but it has an absolutely delightful silkyness' to it... almost like ice cream that still on your palate after you swallow... THAT is mouthfeel. It doesn't half to dump a ton of malto in there or taste like hersheys syrup to have mouthfeel. It's sublime.

It's super sessionable, and the perfect strength to finish balancing all the beautiful sweet early flavors. Creaminess is amazing. Very Airy.

THis might have to be my favorite dark brew that is brewed within 200 miles of where I live. I have access to bell double cream, double chocolate stout, and rogue choco stout, but THIS, this might be my favorite even amongst those beers... its that good.

It tastes like its a 5 percenter! The dessert pairing possibilities make the brain wonder.

This beer's mouthfeel is incredible... my best comparison would have been Columbus NUt Brown Ale, very similar, but this is better than that too. HIGHLY recommended.

Not fancy... not complex.. not hoppy... it is undoubtedly basic. BUT, the mouthfeel is just lights out, and it goes down like a yoohoo. It's great with food and cooking, and it will get you smashed with it's % and drinkablility/lighter taste. I can see how some hopheads would hate this.. but they really just wish they could brew it. I don't have to have 100 dark fruit notes to call a stout good.

Poured from a bottle into a mug, the beer is a dark, thin looking brown-to-black coloring with brown highlights around the edges and a tall, frothy, bubbly, tan colored head. Aromas of sweet milk chocolate, slightly bitter chocolate, hints of roast, and some coffee characteristics. Flavors are roast and bitter forward, with a blend of bittersweet chocolate and milk chocolate. A little more towards the dark and bitter than the nose, giving a heavier cocoa character throughout. Creamy underlays keep everything very drinkable and balanced. Smooth, creamy body, with a bittersweet aftertaste. The cream builds a lot more towards the end of the palate, leading to a sweet lean by the time you hit the slick, smooth finish. Easy enough to drink, with great chocolate characteristics.
