Nice looking drink with no lacing to speak of and a minimal Amber head to the dark brown beer. Smells like roasted caramel cookies and chocolate, super enticing. Taste is pure chocolate and a bit of coconut on the finish. Slightly thin mouth feel for a stout, but good for 6.1%.

Tasty beer.

Bought a 6-pack of 12 oz. cans at Whole Foods in Arlington, VA. Marked best by 9/23/16. Poured into a tulip glass.

Look: Black, black, black. Nice brown head.

Smell: Not a ton of smell, perhaps it's too cold. We poured it straight out of the fridge. Predominant smell is like a bar of milk chocolate.

Taste: Tons more chocolate in the taste than the smell. Really excellent.

Feel: Medium carbonation and thickness. Solid without standing out.

Overall: Very enjoyable. I'll probably pick up 6 more of these since it's a seasonal release.

I really liked this beer. It was thick and not overly chocolatey, just a bit of chocolate. I hate when beers lose the beer taste and taste like sugar. I also tasted roasted coffee and maybe hazlenuts. It was very smooth. I also love the art work the brewery uses on their product. I would def drink this again.

A late-building half inch of light chestnut froth quickly subsides to a fine lace. Columns of fine carbonation stream up the wall of a B-United teku glass against a black backdrop.

This beer exquisitely mirrors coffee ice cream with milk chocolate in the nose. Subtle deep roasted malt and molasses add modest dimension.

The flavor closely follows the nose with faint bitterness barely competing with sweetness that falls just short of being cloying. A touch of hazelnut accentuates a lingering, mild finish.

A silky smooth, full-bodied beer with modest carbonation and no discernible alcohol. The finish is slightly drying.

This is a simple, relaxing beer which can be enjoyed while relaxing after work when one wants a good comforting beer.

One hell of a beer. Glad I chose this over the local IPA I was thinking about purchasing. Here goes:

A: Beautiful. Massive, slow-to-build head with nice, thick lacing that really sticks to the glass. Pours a pitch black as well.

S: Thick, milk chocolate. Has a chocolate mousse quality. Also some roasted coffee, but the sweet-smelling chocolate is the most prominent scent.

T: Follows the nose. Lots of chocolate mousse and some lactose sugar. Some roast, but this appears only long after swallowing. Awesome flavor profile.

F: Only lackluster part of the beer. While good, it is a tad bit watery.

O: Great beer. Will have again, God-willing.

Very easy to drink. Chocolate without drinking a candy bar. Wanted a mid-afternoon, pre-Christmas treat. Could have gone shopping, glad I didn't. Pint glass of this beer was the perfect way to finish off the afternoon.

From can go glass the look is nothing special.:. Very dark. Almost black with very little head and almost no lasting lacing throughout. The smell... I wish I could burn a candle 24 hours a day with this scent. Chocolate and chocolate and a little spiced chocolate.. The taste follows the smell pretty much. It's pretty much roasted chocolate.. Little sweetness but far from over powering.. Very smooth, also a little thin but I think it works perfect for what they're going for. I wish this was the chocolate milk I drank growing up. Overall an awesome beer despite lacking an awesome look. I guess my mom was right you shouldn't judge a book by its cover

Pours a dark brown almost black color with a light brown head that leaves a lacing down the glass. Smells like coffee followed by chocolate and a little bit of sweet lactose. Taste is very chocolatey with roasted malt giving it a bit of coffee as well. The feel is extremely creamy, perfect for this style of beer. This is a great stout! I wish it was available in my area.

Aroma is extremely chocolatey sweet, with light roast malt character. Smells more like rich dark chocolate than milk.

Flavor reveals a very toasty malt backbone that becomes roasty and lightly bitter in the finish. There's a hint of dark fruit upfront, but the cocoa and lactose sweetness kick in mid palate and linger into the finish. The fruity character is a little offputting.

A: Black, opaque, thin khaki head, decent lacing.

S: Chocolate, maybe a little coffee but not much.

T: I get the chocolate milk that they were going for, and a very subtle bitterness.

M: A bit thin for a stout.

O: A decent milk stout, could use a bit more nose, taste and body.

A thicker chocolate milk in the appearance, with a small tan head on it, super small. Aroma was as expected, like lactose and chocolate beermilk.

Same with the taste. Good not great, sugar is in check, but available. Like a chocolate cream ale this is so smooth and hop-less. Cool beer.

12 oz can. Pitch black with finger tan head, fades leaving plenty lace. Not much in the nose aside from mild chocolate, touch of coffee. Flavor is deep bitter dark chocolate, lactose, bit of licorice and char on the back end. Mouthfeel is thin to medium with some slickness. Solid milk stout, a little on the thin side.

I'm very much in favor of the recent trend of putting milk stouts into cans that can easily be mistaken for chocolate milk (being one letter from Yoo-Hoo only doubles my approval). Sure, eventually this will wind up with one kid drowning in a snow bank, which will be followed by an FDA mandate that two thirds of each beer can be the words CONTAINS ALCOHOL, but for now we should ride this exciting wave.

Pours dark and fairly thick with a nice brown head.

Smells smooth and fudgey with a little bit of charred barley. Fairly soft, but very smooth and balanced.

Tastes sweet with lots of big milk chocolate, straightforward mediumitter stout barley in the middle, and some lactic smoothness at the back. Not quite the chocolate burst as, say, Young's stout, but still pretty solid.

Pours black with thick tan head good lacing around glass. Smell strong chocolate notes. Good chocolate taste hint of sweet some coffee flavor. Smooth on the mouth kind of a lingering taste but a good feel. Overall it is a good milk stout not the best I have had but a good filler beer.

Had from the tap. Outstanding aroma with less than expected stout depth. Enjoyed the bitterness of chocolate and will definitely have again post-dinner over the next couple months.

Appearance is dark brown/black with almost no transparency. There is a nice amount of lacing around the glass and foam especially with an aggressive pour. w

Smells strongly of chocolate, molasses, and coffee with the coffee being the faintest of the three.

Tastes of copious chocolate milk notes with some coffee, roasted malts and molasses coming through on the finish.

Mouth feel is lighter than expected but still smooth and creamy.

Overall, this is an enjoyable milk chocolate stout with noticeable but not overpowering flavors. The sweetness makes it difficult to enjoy in significant quantities, but the bitterness balances it out nicely for one or two drinks.

Pours black. Light tan head that dissipates quickly with a little ring.

Smells a bit like a mocha latte. Rich scent. Very pleasing.

Taste follows the smell. Very chocolaty. Rich, with just a hint of oatiness. A little bit of malt on the back end.

Feel is a great. A rich medium to full body with just enough carbonation to fill it out. Very creamy. Almost like chocolate milk.

Overall a great beer. I'd actually recommend this with dessert. Hell, this could be dessert. Another great beer from Terrapin.

One of the better milk stouts from GA.

Pours a dark black with minimal brown head.

Lots of cocoa in the nose, some coffee, and oat.

As many have said, taste a lot like chocolate milk. Good, consistent taste. Very mild coffee taste as well.

Medium bodied, with just the right amount of carbonation.

Overall, a really good beer, which I will continue to purchase

To be honest-nothing special or outstanding here. There are better stouts to be had. It's not that Moo Hoo is necessarily bad- it's not - but I'd rather spend my money on something better.

Pours a black color with a light tan head, a vigorous pour only resulted in a 1/4" head. Smell is of cocoa nibs and barley. Tastes like chocolate milk and has a nice sweet hop taste to it. Very smooth, and overall one of Terrapin's best.

Nice dark beer with a tan head that fades quickly and leaves only traces of lacing. Smells of chocolate, roasted malts and some coffee notes. The taste is mainly chocolate with a bit of roasted malt. Not very bitter but what bitterness it has seems to come from a coffee like flavor as it reminds me of a dark bitter roast. If you like chocolate this is definitely going to deliver.

Pours very dark. Came with a small dark head that goes away quick. Very delicious smell of chocolate. Can taste the roasted malts along with the hint of chocolate. Tastes a little sweet. A very good stout.

I tried this expecting a Yoo-Hoo clone. It is absolutely not that. It is only a little sweet and tastes more like a dark chocolate stout, which makes sense considering the cocoa nibs. Very enjoyable

pours a solid black with a thin white head. looks much better when poured aggressively!!

smells like faint chocolate coffee. smells better when poured aggressively!

tastes like alcoholic chocolate milk! pretty good

goes down smooth and finishes with some chocolate sweetness.

overall this is pretty good! it's not fantastic but it is tasty. sessionable for a stout but no Ten Fidy, which is different but still. as far as milk stouts go i much prefer Left Hand milk stout nitro.

side note: this beer looks, smells, and tastes MUCH better when poured more aggressively. when poured "regularly" it loses the head very quickly, smells average and tastes good. when more aggressively (as in i keep the can higher away from the glass) the beer is much better
