12 oz bottle from a four pack of about 9 bucks. Thats bullshit.

Appearance: Clear golden color, white head and decent lacing.

Smell: Orangey-citrus hops and some pine. While the hops aroma is nice, there's little else-- kind of like hoppy smelling water.

Taste: The flavor is better than the smell. Its quite bitter but with some fruity and pithy hops. However, there is a nice cereal-like malt flavor from the middle to the finish that makes the beer taste less watery than it does up front.

Mouthfeel: The carbonation is right, but it tastes a little thin.

Overall: I don't know. I'm torn about these "session IPAs." They seem like a good idea, but the pronounced bitterness in such a small beer makes it taste thin/watery. I don't think this will be a style of beer that many breweries stick to. I think the use of Maris Otter for a little extra flavor helps this beer out.

Clear golden yellow with a small white head that fades to a slim ring. Surprisingly hoppy, green aroma...lemon, grass, mild tropical fruit. Zesty citrus hop flavor over a bed of fresh grain. Green and slightly resinous with a touch of mint. Quite dry and crisp with a fair amount of bitterness. Drinkable and suitably hoppy as advertised, but the $9 4-pack seems to contradict the intended session-ability of the beer. Still, I enjoyed this one.

A - A copper, clear golden pisnerish color beer. 1 finger of head and lots of sticky lace left on the glass all the way down.

S - Light malts, lemon, and hops jump out of the bottle after opening

T - Light and smooth, nice mix of hops and grains. Bready malts.

M - Mouthfeel is excellent. Well carbonated, very crisp. Nice bite at the finish. Well done

O - An excellent, very tasty, very hoppy session ale. I hope people rate this beer based on its style. It's very tough to make such a tasty, hoppy session ale.

Pours a clear golden color with a very slight white head. Very light lacing, slight sense of carbonation.

Smell is slightly muted hops and not a whole lot more of anything. The slightest of citrus notes eventually makes its way through.

Taste is slightly better than the smell. Finishes with a slight bitterness, but as a whole I think the taste is a little out of balance, trending towards being overly hoppy but without what I would call a particularly pleasant hop profile.

Mouthfeel is slightly smooth, finishing with a little bit of a bite of carbonation. Drinkable enough, though a little watery for my taste.

Overall, this is another Terrapin beer that falls into the "ok" territory. In terms of the increasing number of hoppy "lighter" beers, this falls pretty middle of the road. The price point though (9 for a 4 pack) puts it into the "will not by again" category for me.

On tap at Terrapin Brewery. Poured into a Terrapin pint glass.

Pours translucent gold with a finger pale head. A little lacing.

Smells sweet with a hint of hops.

Tastes dry and bready with a mild hop flavor. Long moderate bitter aftertaste.

Light bodied with medium carbonation.

Overall this isn't for me. The more I drank, the more I appreciated it but I'll stick to thier Hopsecutioner and other "bigger" brews. Not bad at all but I prefer a little more beer with my beer.

16 ounce pint - $5.75 at Taco Mac in Canton, Georgia.

Appearance: Served up a clear, coppery body with a small albeit sustained, white head. Light lacing.

Smell: The aroma is particularly mild, rather modest with only thin sniffs of toasted barley and vaguely fruity citrus.

Taste: Lightly bready, lightly grainy pale malted barley with a light, low sweetness to it (though, it comes out more as it warms but still remains quite mild). The hop blend adds some hints of lemon, pithy grapefruit rinds, and even passionfruit. Medium-plus bitterness, fairly upfront and fast-arriving, as there's isn't much in the way of maltiness to stall it. Drying, grainy (again, lightly), crispish finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's fairly decent, I'm always happy to mix in some lower-alcohol options.
