The gf loves Terrapin, particularly the collabs with Shmaltz, so here goes.

Dark brown pour, minimal head or lace. Smells like an overly spiced pumpkin beer, minus the pumpkin. Not particularly inviting.

A multitude of conflicting flavors greet my palate. Bitter chocolate, overwhelming cinnamon, yet the base beer seems boring and unremarkable. Flavors work against each other instead of integrating. Not impressed.

Good looking brown body that glows red in direct light. Level two fingers of highly whipped light beige froth.

Nose is dominated by cinnamon. Hints of cocoa.

Light malt beginning. Then huge amounts of cinnamon. Very faint hints of cocoa and vanilla.

Mouthfeel is nicely smooth. With this much spice, sometimes a beer is dusty.

This beer needs more of he vanilla and cocoa, and either less cinnamon or a stout base instead of a brown ale.

A- unlike other reviews on this site while there was quite a bit of head and lacing throughout the entire experience

S- Smells - Very strong dark chocolate and vanilla nose

T- At first almost harsh and hard to distinguish the flavors but as it lingers the chocolate and cinamon really come through

M- Frothy with a smooth lingering finish

O- Overall I would say a 3.5 its definately a beer I could drink more than once. It was enjoyable as long as your not expecting a beer that is extremely smooth throughout
