Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.10%

Notes / Commercial Description:
We always love a good experimental brew here at Terrapin, but the salty-sweet combo of peanuts and chocolate has us all salivating a little more than usual. This brew, while smooth and mellow, still manages to challenge your tastebuds. The porter base is dark and smooth, with enough backbone to support the richer chocolate and peanut butter additions. It’s even dry “peanuted” with brewery-boiled green peanuts! Here’s to the candy-loving kid in all of us!

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a black color with light brown hues along the sides of the glass. A light mocha colored head appears and rides off into the sunset allowing a light lacing to grace the sides of the glass.
The smell had a nice sweet to roasty blend of the peanut butter to the milk chocolate. Warm and inviting.
The taste, again was balanced nice between the roast and the sweet transposing this into the aftertaste and finish.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionable feel to it. The sweet and the roast come together to give off a slight creamy roastiness to it.
Overall, while the peanut butter and the roasty portions of the beer come together very nicely. Somehow, I always think Springhouse's version is the best one of this. Still, I'd have this again.

Look: Poured from 12oz bottle into snifter. Dark brown lovely color. Almost black. 2 finger tan head that is fairly persistant with nice lacing

Smell: Fresh peanuts, dark chocolate, roasted malt, hint of hops

Taste: Right of the bat, a lot of bitterness from the hops, but then the peanut butter hits you. Very much like fresh ground peanuts from the nose. Finishes with a lovely very dark chocolate bitterness that stay with you for a while

Feel: Medium body, very pleasnt, Expected it to be a little heavier.

Overall; Absolutely delicious. I was a little afraid that this would be overpoweringly sweet, but this is one of my favorites. Great work Terrapin!

The chocolate is the prominent taste feature here. The peanut butter flavor didn't really stand out if really at all. The look of the porter was good.

Pours opaque, dark brown, with 1/4 inch head. Taste is English brown ale, toffee, light chocolate, and a decent peanut kick. Nice creaminess at the end. Really good dessert beer. I prefer DuClaw's peanut butter beer better, but this one is very good. I would certainly pick this one up again.
