I love this season... fresh hop beer season! This is my third one this season, and I'm glad for every one I get ahold of.

On each pour you get a ton of hop smell coming from the top. I really enjoy the smell from the citra hops.

The flavor is very hop forward (obviously). I really enjoy picking up the citrus and lemon in each sip. I like the balance, especially with all of the hops that are there. This has a lot of very good flavor.

Terrapin offers a very good fresh hop beer. My hat is off to them.

This is the 2012 version, which I believe is the 3 incarnation. This year it uses Citra hops

A - Dark copper with clarity. 1 finger of head and sticky lace left on the glass

S - Fresh citrus hops, for sure. Bready, candy, and alcohol

T - Malty up front, but as it warms and you swallow, you get a HUGE fresh citrus hops kick. Very tasty!

M - Light bodied and well carbonated

O - The best release of the series so far. Love the citra hops. Great, well balanced brew. Drink fresh!

A: Pours a clear ruby. Big effervescent off-white head adorns it. Fades at a decent rate. Excellent head retention. Spotty fluffy bits of lacing here and there.

S: Mangos, banana and other tropical fruit. Hints of garlic and onion mixed in. A bit of caramel too.

T: More tropical fruit. Loaded with it. Get apricot, mango, banana, pineapple even? Biscuity, crackery, almost salty malt and then a little garlic and onion mixes in. Just a bit. Finish is pretty quick with hints of the hops and then pretty much falls flat with a little bit of dryness.

M: Medium bodied, a touch try.

O: Interesting IPA. Hop flavors are good but very little bitterness despite not much malt backing it up. Tropical fruit bomb for the most part. Not bad but nothing super special either.
