look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Look - 4 – Poured a hazy golden color in the glass with a very aromatic white head. Left some light horizontal lacing.
Smell – 4 - Has a spicy hop smell with malty notes. Pine and a little bit of citrus are coming through along with the caramel malt smell.
Taste – 3.75 – The taste is a subdued piney bitterness with a crisp lemony zest that fades away quickly which begs me to take another gulp. Lacking the bitterness bite and the end of the gulp, I was looking forward to it but I understand this is a session brew.
Feel- 4 – Moderate-high carbonation with a smooth and bubbly texture.
Overall- 4 – Great session brew, lots of flavor packed into a small ABV. Carbonation was nice and really helped get the texture and flavor on point for this session APA.

Extremely crushable with a nice light flavor. This isn't a hop bomb that's going to wreck your palette and that is a good thing. As advertised, this is an excellent beer for all day drinking as the flavor won't get tiring.

I have had this beer a few times now as it comes in this IPA mixed 12 pack Terrapin offers. Not really much to say. Clear, light tan color with not much head. It's light, easy to drink with slight hint of hop bitterness. Best drank when it's hot out- not middle of winter like now. Ok, but I wouldn't buy 6pck on its own.

This is the genre of ber that I like. An IPA with a distinctive flavor, well balanced and dry on the palate. Very clean, slight citrus flavor. As it states a Session Ale - I can drink this all day

On-tap at Hops Craft Beer Wine Bar, Morristown, NJ

A: the beer is crystal clear amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering surface and coating of bubbles down sides of glass.
S: Light aromas of citrus hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light and muted flavors of citrusy hops. Only faint amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels light to medium bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No crispness is perceptible.
O: This beer is easy to drink, but the smell and flavors are muted.

Serving type: on-tap

One finger khaki spume that fades quickly, light copper body
Very grassy and hoppy smell; a little metallic after that
Grass, corn, grapefruit. Not much hop or fruit complexity. Follows up a little bitter
Very light mouhtfeel, light carbonation
It's good for a light beer, I guess

On tap at City Taphouse-DC. Not understanding the high scores for this, overly tart, slightly metallic. Tart, metallic finish. Funky aroma. Not impressed.

A: Pale yellow in color with a fairly good sized white head that quickly developes some frog eyes as it collapses in.

S: Tons of citrus, and fruit aromas. Grapefruit, and a touch of orange followed by a slightly sweeter tropical fruit aroma.

T: They really focused on the hops, grapefruit, and a touch of pine, nice amount of bitterness, but the finish is a little on the watery side even considering the low abv.

M: Light in body, with mdeium carbonation, a touch thin at the finish.

O: Overall a real decent beer, a touch thin on the finish, but something I could totally see cracking a few of these during a cookout.

The smell is a mix of malt and piney hops. The taste is really nicely balanced when I expected all hops. Really drinkable but a bit thin in the finish. nb

This pours a clear gold color displaying a high amount of carbonation and topped with s foamy white head when poured from a 16 oz can. The nose offers a clean hoppy aroma that is a pine resin and orange blend. The smell is right, but a little faint. Flavors match the nose with a smooth hoppy flavor in each sip matched by a lively carbonated feel. This hits all the session ale notes and was my choice through the summer.

A great find in a session beer from Terrapin. Smell hits you up front, and follows with a very smooth hoppy ending. Notes of pine, with a slight bitterness. Im definitely looking to try other Terrapin IPA's.

12 oz can

decent for a "session" IPA - it's got a nice aroma. and the taste has good hop flavor, with just enough malt to balance. easy drinking, medium body and carbonation.

Goes down smooth and easy straight from the can. Not quite the citrusy notes you would expect from a session. Better than most sessions but not the best.

On tap. Little lacing, light carbonation and no head. Flavor is citrus and light hop. I think it's a good session ipa can't wait to drink it on a hot day.

a session ale better than many, but falling into that trap of making the flavor pretty light as well as just the abv, this comes across more as an american pale than an ipa of any kind, although i suppose thats what its listed as here. balance is the key word with this one, light on the grain front, with just a medium pale malt backbone. hops are great, really springy and lively, maybe citra in here, and they make the beer distinct, but there just arent enough of them. i find myself loving that one second that the hops are really front and center, but then seeking that the rest of each sip, and its just not there. i get that its not supposed to be intrusive, and it definitely isnt, but the hops taste so good it feels like a tease. either way i like the lightness of the beer, very easy drinking, and if i could get this in colorado it would probably be in my fridge a few times this summer.

A: Orange color with nice big head on top that hangs around with really good lacing down the glass

S: Really big hop presence, piney, citrusy, fruity, smell

T: Large hop bitterness up front, malt sweetness next, and a little bit of a piney after taste

M: Medium feel to it

O: I'm a fan, especially as a session IPA. It's not so powerful that you can't have several at a time but good enough to want to.

Had this on draft and via the can several times (most recent: on draft at Altamonte Springs World of Beer on 12/16/14).

Rated this as 4 stars on Untappd and am going with that here, as well. Very enjoyable. Nothing mind-blowing, but it works.

Appearance: Bronze, cloudy, 3cm head with lacing and Greenland floating in the middle.

Smell: Piney and clean-smelling with something almost like a citrusy-sour tinge. Probably because I associate Pine Sol with lemon.

Taste: Moderate bitterness/hoppiness mid-sip. Slight honey maltiness comes through as beer starts to warm and/or my tastebuds adapt to the bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Light, thin, taste diminishes fairly quickly. Very little lingering taste

Overall: Refreshing and sessionable. Ideal for hot months, given the lightness and thin mouthfeel.

This is an excellent example of an American Pale Ale. Poured from a can into a pint glass. Great color and aroma of citrus. A very enjoyable warm weather brew. Highly recommended.

Canned 6/19/14 at 40 degrees into standard pint glass
Aroma very piney
Head average (3 cm), white, frothy, slowly diminishing to 2 mm layer
Lacing poor – few tiny islands and small atolls
Body medium yellow, hazy
Flavor light piney hops, quickly dying; no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light to medium, watery, lively carbonation

Appearance 3.25, Aroma 3.5, Flavor 3.75, Palate 3.5, Overall 3.5. Final weighted score: 3.6
Good beer! Easy to drink and very refreshing.

Presentation: 12 oz. can. served in a Sam Adams pint glass.

Appearance: White, foamy, two finger head that remains for a while. It has a cloudy bright yellow color.

Smell: It has a faint, floral hop aroma that is noticeable but not overwhelming.

Taste: Very balanced, with nothing really standing out. There's some grain, bread and malt notes. There's also the citrus hop flavor that while subdued, gives this beer it's distinct refreshing character.

Mouthfeel: It has body but it feels light and refreshing and goes down smooth. Medium-high carbonation with a clean finish.

Overall: A perfect substitute to your adjunct lager of choice. It's fresh, with a good aroma, taste and character; yet it remains very easy to drink with nothing overwhelming going on in the nose or palate. Add it to your list of must-have beers for hot weather.

Sampled this during a beer tasting, poured from can, not sure if a can is the best offering but it was what they had.

Appearance was light amber, clear, good lacing head dissipated rather fast.

Aroma was definitely pine resin,

Taste was very average , and somewhat boring. I could taste the pine, but not much else.

Mouthfeel was a little on the astringent side for me, not bad, just very mid range

Overall, I believe this is considered a session beer, I wouldn't refuse one, but I probably would prefer some of the other Terrapins.

Nope. Never again. Got this one for the road as a single at the beer store, and instantly regreted it. Nothing to it, just a not very good beer that I will not try again. Cheap but gross... that's a choice you will have to make, there is always keystone light.

I have had a lot of this one..time to finally review it.

A - Cloudy golden/yellow with no clarity. 4 fingers of head! Wow. Lace and head never recede. Looks great.

S - Malty grain and a touch of hops. Not much going on in the aroma

T - A very tasty hoppy session IPA. Slightly bitter but well balanced with the grains.

M - Well carbonated and light bodied.

O - An excellent session IPA. Perfect for a day in the sun.

Pours a cloudy gold with red tint and decent head and lace. Piney, citric hop aroma takes hold of my nostrils with just a little bit of maltiness. Beer is simple, light and definitely lives up to name as a session beer you can relax with and have multiple times. Little bit of breadiness keeps the citric hop profile balanced and there is also some minor sweetness at end of each sip. Goes down easy and is a beer that is worth trying.
