Downtown Louisville is pretty cool- so many bars, restaurants and breweries in a small Main Street.

Lucky Pie occupies a pretty large piece of real estate, most of it taken by a big patio for al fresco dining. The interior has a large bar and a dining area that was annoyingly full of families and small children (worst combo ever when you're an adult in search of a quiet beer and pizza).

Their 21 taps (divided in light/sour/malt/hops) didn't have anything outrageous when I visited: stuff from Avery, Odell, Funkwerks and other CO breweries, plus Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig. Being from Philly, where we get Russian River all the time, this wasn't too special...

I was more attracted to the barrel-aged Avery bottles they were offering, at $21 each, but the two I wanted (Momi Hiwa and Black Eye) were sold out.

Food-wise, the lodally-famed pizza was unremarkable. Their "wild mushrooms" were just shitty white 'shrooms from the grocery store, and raw regular onion was used instead of cipollinis. Their chicken liver was delicious, though!
