I stopped in here for lunch last week. I'd been looking for a place to get a decent pie in Honolulu and I heard JJ's would be a good option.

A - Typical Irish pub vibe. Your requisite Guiness, Harp and Murphy's signs all over the bar.

S - Our waitress was very good. My wife ordered a diet soda for lunch and it was clearly off, so they happily gave her something else without much effort. They have about eight taps and she had the memorized, which is always nice if you won't create a menu.

Sel - I would say above average for Honolulu, but not great overall. Again, the typical Irish pub offerings of Guiness, Harp, Bass and Murphy's, so there is four of their eight taps. They had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Sam Adams, but they did have a couple of good rotating taps. They had Fresh Squeezed and Torpedo.

F - One of the better pies I've had on the island so far. We had a pepperoni and mushroom and it was great. We also had the caprese salad, but it was just okay. The tomatoes could've been fresher.

V - Solid value for Honolulu, where everything is expensive.

Overall, if you are in the area, I'd recommend JJ's for a good pizza and the chance at a decent pint. I wouldn't drive all over the island for the place though.
