Formerly Meteor De Noel
Warm and festive !
This beer is full of magic and cheer, with a creamy head and delightful fragrances. Its amber/golden colour gives a hint of the citrus and spice aromas on the palate. This beer is highly recommended with meals and for festive occasions. Round, smooth and hearty, the Bière de Noël de Meteor reminds us of the unforgettable tastes of Christmas with every mouthful.

Had a glass at a winstub in Colmar.
Strange metallic but sweet taste, not really up there with the other Noel beers.

Nov. 2007: 650 ml green glass bottle, entirely covered in very "christmasy" plastic foil. Courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 5.8%. Clear and deep golden colour, large and lasting head. Fruity and spicy aroma with notes of farm kitchen, quite nice. The flavour has some of the "spritziness" of other bières-de-garde, but is sweeter, with caramel. Artificial "aroma" (whatever that may be) has been added, hmmm ... That is probably what I get some candy / pear drops notes from. Moderate hops in the finish. Not your typical Christmas beer, but drinkable.

bottled in tiny 25cl stubbie
Pours a bronze tinted golden body with minimal white
there is a nice Christmassy aroma, spice and honey
not unpleasant medicinal taste, earthy and festive
solid bodied and avoids my fear of it being dull

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #70 (November 2012):
While there are some interesting parts to this brew, nothing really falls into place nor does it scream “winter” in any way. We feel like some flavors are being forced on us and the pieces just don’t fit together. A hollow shell of a beer so overall for the brewer to slap “Noel” on the label is a bit misleading in our opinion.
STYLE: French Winter Warmer
ABV: 5.8%
AVAILABILITY: Winter Seasonal
LOOK: Clear amber glow, firm lacing
SMELL: Baked apple, raisins, bread crust, hazelnut, mild spice, caramel
TASTE: Slick, semi-smooth, slick medium body, vague pie spice, apple, a bit bready, dried grass, faint butteriness, ripe stone fruit, modest hopping, semi-dry finish
