250ml bottle - Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a darkish, gently hazed, pale golden body with a very thin, very tenuous head.

Smell: Has a smell of adjunct laden pale malts, but, then you get a big pop of apple cider.

Taste: Scant malts, grains and straw, with a big dose of sweet syrup. Near nil hop character, bitterness. Still, it remains a bit hinting of a cider (a dreadful cider, mind you). Sweetish, unclean finish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's not good. Your hopes and expectations will fall faster than a meteor.

A: The beer is relatively clear amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with delicate lacing on the surface and a collar of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pale malts and fruity esters are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of pale malts with notes of apple cider. No bitterness is perceptible. Sight hints of yeast are noticeable towards the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little watery on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer goes down easily and doesn't have any "off" or skunked flavors that one might expect from a green bottle but is somewhat bland and undercarbonated.

Poured from an 11.2oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains pungent malts, lager yeast and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a thin malt character. Then some mild malt sweetness comes in along with a decent hops presence but there isn’t much balance at all. The after-taste is slightly bready.

M: Crisp and but not very smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Not very flavorful, does not go down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, overall it’s just not a very good beer.

12 oz bottle. Served in a Portsmouth Brewing Co tulip. It adds class, but doesn't help this beer review any...

Appearance is yellowish with a thin head that fell very quickly.
No lacing to speak of. Average it is.

Nose is funky corn chip euro-lager. Meh.

Flavor is thin. Even thinner than I recall from the last one I had. Adjunct flavors, no real hops to speak of. Is this actually beer?

Mouthfeel is that of thin, soapy water.

Drinkability is actually not bad. This is mostly due to the lack of offensive, or in fact, any, flavor. I guess it's an OK hot weather beer, but I have others that I prefer more.

Poured into a pilsener glass. Pale gold with a head that shoots to immense proportions, then shrinks back down to about 2 solid fingers. Leaves some excellent lacing, unheard of for a pale lager.

Aroma is corn sugar and grain with no hops.

Flavor is thin and metallic with a sweet cracker malt base and adjunct sweetness.

Paper thin and refreshing. Crisp and clean, but ultimately another boring pale lager.

bought this in a supermarket at highly discounted price (even though the cashier didn't type the extra discount, which I only learned once I had paid) ... once more I had to make the experience that cheap sometimes is expensive ... a rather bland brew, which has little to please any lover of a decent beer ...

there is no need to sending this brew out of Alsace ...

While classified properly as a Euro pale, Meteor lager is a better beer than the ratings.
This beer should be rated alongside of food. It is malty and a complement to the buttery pasta sauce I had.
This lager is reviewed in the "1001", but arguably it should not be on the list because there are many, many undifferentiated lagers than go with French food.

My recommendation would be to avoid this beer if you're in France as there much better macros around than this. This is nothing out of the ordinary from every other euro pale lager. Light corn, cardboard malt flavour dominates over any kind of hop profile. Highly carbonated and thin bodied.

Comes in a small, 8.45 oz bottle.

Appearance - Pours a clear, golden color with almost no head. Leaves a thin lacing on the glass.

Smell - Malty, corny, and bready.

Taste - Pale malts, corn, grains, bread, and has a slightly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium body with medium carbonation.

OVerall - Not a bad Euro pale lager, but there's nothing special about it.
