Big thanks to Sliverx for sharing this bottle...

A: Pours a light cloudy red with pink hues around the edges. There is a half finger of light pink/white head that fades fairly quickly. All that remains if a tiny ring of bubbles along the edges of the glass.

S: The nose is tart and biting, with big sour notes. I get cherries and dried cranberries up front with vinegar familiar Cascade scent yeast/barrel treatment.

T: It starts out crisp and cherry forward, but as it heads towards the middle of the beer, it tightens up and gets really sour. That Cascade yeast and vinegar flavor is unmistakable. The finish is sour and fruit. Another nice offering from Cascade

M: Medium bodied beer. It's bright and puckering from start to finish. It coats the palate and dries up in the back end.

O: Very nice beer. You know it's a Cascade sour, and you know it was brewed with cherries. Can you really ask for anything more? I'd love to get me hands on a few more bottles and drink this a few times a year.

2011 vintage. Tasted 3 June 2013, reviewed from notes.

Pours a medium-dark, clear, ruby amber. Little head, as expected for a sour, and it fizzes and fades quickly. Hefty amount of visible carbonation.

Smell is half acidic sour and half sweet/tart cherry. The smell feels a little funny - it's an odd balance, more sour than fruity, but feels like it'd be better if it tilted more in one direction or the other.

Taste is similar to the smell, though more sour and less fruity. Somewhere around 1/6 cherry, 5/6 muddy acidic sour. There's something about it that's not entirely working for me, some off characters at the edges. It's not powerfully fruity, and it's not clean, and I want it to be one or the other. Basically, the balance feels a bit off.

Feel is light, delicate, and fizzy, like a low-sugar soda. Very nice, and just as it should be.

A decent fruit sour, but among the weaker ones I've had from Cascade. The fruit presence is light, and the sour is muddy and has some slightly off elements. Worth drinking again, but probably not at ~$20 per bottle.
