Draught at the brewpub, served in an imperial pint, Zomerwit is a clear gold with a small, very creamy white head that left scattered lace. Neither pale/white or cloudy, it looks like a macro lager...

Smell is grainy but heavy on buttery diacetyl, as well as some cider vinegar. Overall, not good, it smells off, and nothing like a witbier...

Taste, luckily, isn't spoiled, but it is a little off, with the diacetyl and vinegar are both clearly present, more so as it warms. Overall, pretty unusual wit, pretty grainy, with light coriander and orange peel spices and not much in the way of esters, and only slightly wheaty. Not bad, but not good either.

Mouthfeel is the saving grace, super creamy, with loads of soft carbonation, a lighter body and a crisp, dry finish.

Drinkability is ok, as it's light and goes down easy. On the other hand, I didn't want another, felt it was pretty disjointed and barely true to smell, with a bad oder. I love that Raccoon brews a lot of Belgians, and their sour blends are excellant, but this one is a dud.
