Tasted at the big "SeaBass has got to go" tasting. Big big thanks to bvc, over on ratebeer, for sending me this brew. It pours copper with gold hues and white head. The aroma is full with mango, citrus, grapefruit, a little pineapple and then mild molasses covered spicy oak. The taste is pretty bright and mildly sour to tart citrus hops going from grapefruit hop flavor, mango and tangelo to tarter citrus hop bitter notes to midway. Toward the finish it becomes tart and a bit yeasty and then dries out some with lingering citrus tartness and citrus sour notes hanging on for a good long while. Yummy

Had a few small glasses of this at the brewery in Raleigh Hills, poured by Ron Gansberg himself, thanks again for pulling this gem out for us to try, him and my buddy Drake pulled this out of his cellar, 2005 vintage that was not released until February of this year, color is a dark orange with some reddish edges, one inch foamy white head that stays around a few minutes, some lacing, aroma consists of oak, sweet malts, caramel, lemon, toffee, brown sugar, and biscuit malt, flavor starts off with a large oak flavor, some sweetness from caramel and toffee in the middle, alcohol in the finish mixed with some nice grape tastes, vanilla and lemon come out by the end and add even more complexity, sweet, chewy, malty, and slightly dry mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, soft to moderate carbonation, taste lingers well, could drink this bomber, stuff goes down pretty easy and its aging has done incredible things for its drinkability, I am sure this stuff was pretty hot before but now it is quite mellow and smooth, this stuff seems to have aged wonderfully, I feel honored to have been able to try it, thanks again Ron, and I recommend this stuff, hopefully more of it is made in the future
