A traditional German, slightly sour, spiced summer wheat beer, this is our take on a twice lost and revived German beer style. It's light and golden with a slightly salty finish.

A: Lots of Coriander, which provides huge lemon aroma upfront, followed by some sourness; quite bright.

A: Yellow color that’s quite hazy with strong head retention.

T: Lots of lemon, slightly sweet and quite tart upfront; quite sour not overpowering – but at the same time not restrained with a touch of saltiness detected.

M: Light bodied with high carbonation; sourer than you’d expect from a gose; very refreshing, quite attenuated. No alcohol noticeable.

O: Refreshing and delicious. While sourer than most traditional gose, Cascade’s take is still quite attenuated. My only real knock is on the price. While I support Cascade charging a premium for sours, this particular beer style is rather inexpensive to make and doesn’t require any adjuncts that are overly expensive.

The beer comes in a hazy straw yellow color.

The aroma has tons of tartness. Lemon peel, lemon juice, a bit of spice.

The flavor follows with that huge lemony tartness in the front. There's then some gentle wheat and bready malt. Finish hits of a drying salt and a fresh spiciness from the corainder added. Barrel character adds some complexity to this beer as well.

Quite tart, compared to Westbrook's take on the style. Personally prefer this.
