Typical yellow and gold pour, hop aroma seemed muted. Not much going on.
That should be a theme for this beer. No off flavors, but nothing poppin' off. Nothing heavy, nothing off, as run of the mill as can be. Under hopped and mild for an ipa, this one is more like a east coast pale ale.

Standard gold looking beer, average white head, cool pour size. Aroma lacked hops.

Info claims 62 ibu, I don't see how. Doesn't taste hoppy or bitter, its more akin to a session pale or mild. Nothing is bad about the beer. But the alleged 'sparkling hop spice, resin and light peppery notes' just weren't there. Nor was the caramel malt finish. This is a gateway beer for someone you take there that won't like hoppy, thick or sour.

Its pretty straightforward in its simplicity and balance, but the brewery's notes on the matter would make you think its really complex, but at best, its subdued and a crowd pleaser, which ain't a bad thing.

My recommendation: Pay the extra buck and drink a glass of the vine instead.
