on-tap @ brouwers sourfest

epicly pungent apricot - extremely floral. A really fantastic variation of Apricot - probably even better for my money. The potency of the aroma is a little mindblowing. A really wonderful beer from Cascade - would love to see this around more frequently

On tap for Beachwood Sour Fest at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour and tart with malt, earthy apricot, and buttery wood aromas. Taste is much the same with sour and tart fresh apricot flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with very nice slightly unripe and sour fresh apricot flavors.

On draught at the barrel house, strait from the barrel. Served in their 8 oz chalice, Supracot is gold with a white collar leaving light, sticky lace.

Smell is lightly sweet, with a bit of a dirty, early, bacteria like note. Floral.

Taste is fairly tart, with the apricot prominent but not overpoweringly fruity, the lacto provide nice balance.

Mouthfeel is dry but slippery, medium light bodied.

Drinkability is pretty good. Nice flavor, but not as good as their original apricot, lacking the punch.

The pour I had was overly acidic and the fruit didn't come through.
