Beer selection good but overpriced and dominated by the big industrial brewers. Servers clueless about their product.

The beer selection is fantastic but somewhat repetitive. The place is somewhat pricey, even by Toronto standards. We had a waitress that was in training so the service was slow and fair at best. The food was just OK. Many better places to go in the area.

Went during Lunch on a Friday. Not very crowed inside more sitting outside Good large beer list. beer prices were a bit high. Almost like you were at the Ballpark. Food was expensive. I order 2 beers and 10 wings and FF the bill was 43 dollars with out the tip. Think that was the most expensive lunch i ever had. But overall i would come back if i return to visit Toronto again.

Went in a few weeks ago with a friend I'd hadn't seen in almost a year. Pretty quiet on a Tuesday evening around 6pm. beer selection was very impressive, Belgians, American craft (Goose Island and Rogue anyone) and plenty of Canadian Micros on tap. Over 150 different bottles with many styles represented in some way or another.

Started with a Red Racer Pale Ale while my buddy got the same. Prices were high but not unreasonable. Unfortunately they were out of Houbolon Chouffe on tap, I had been looking forward to getting that amazing Belgian IPA on tap. Second glass was Delirium Tremens, also on tap. Price isn't too bad $8.50 for a 13 oz. pour, so it could've been a lot more.

Atmosphere was upscale but casual with a relaxed feel. Ended up going with German Schnitzel, which while $24 was a huge portion. Came with Spaetzle, Gracy and Lindonberry jam. For anyone enjoying Schnitzel, it's pretty good.

Overall service wasn't spectacular, our server knew the food side of the menu, but not necessarily the beer menu, but wasn't bad, took our orders reasonably promptly and was polite and timely.

Overall, a very good experience, especially if there's a beer on tap that you are looking for and while prices are high, it's downtown Toronto, so it's not altogether unexpected.

Walked in on a recommendation by a waitress at another beer site in Toronto, and I was not disappointed by the selection. Heavy emphasis on European brews, which usually means "hard to pick anything over the Belgians" for me, and that's what I did. Got an Urthel Hop It on tap, then the honorary Belgian, Netherlands' Trappist Konigshoeven Quad. We met a terrific girl named Sue who introduced us to Jager Bombs, so my friend and I left lit and primed for the Pearl Jam show that night. It was a wonderful place to spend some time, and the selection was one you could explore for days on end, if you were a Torontonian or regular visitor. We wouldn't have that opportunity, but we made the most of it.

Atmosphere is very European in character, matching the selection. Feels like a big German pub, several rooms and a large outside area in front, beckoning those on the sidewalk to come on in. Service might have been better. We were perusing the beer list, it was a formidable one, so I told the waiter "just need 2 minutes." I meant literally "2 minutes," but I guess he thought I said "10 minutes," because that's how long it took him to come back. But, once we were served the first time, he was attentive to our needs thereafter.

While everything is a bit pricey here, we had a great time and drank some truly top-notch beer too. Not much more you can ask for, really...

Went here for a friends bday dinner on a friday night...

Atmosphere when we first got there was dead...we were there initially at 8 on a friday and the place was mostly empty...however, over the course of the next hour or so...that changed...was not overly crowded but all tables were filled, as was all stools and people were standing around the bar...we were seated at a large table kinda in the restaurant portion right in front of their stage. A cover band (pretty good for a cover band) went on at around 10 I think. It was relaxed upscalish.

The service was pretty good too...the server was great with making suggestions for I had not heard of most of these beers b/c they were predominantly Canadian. She asked what style I liked, etc. Very helpful...she was also helpful in making sense of their menu. She was attentive.

Selection...was impressive...lots of things on draft...don't know how many but it was at least 20 I would a lot of bottles...small and large. Predominantly Canadian micro brewers but some US as well (saw some Rogue and others)...also offered BMC. I had an Alexander Keith's IPA...(see review) among a couple others...I mention this IPA here b/c it was the worst IPA I have is not an IPA!

I had a flatbread for dinner along w/ shared apps for the table...everything I tried was quite flatbread was 12...but that is where the value really does end...this place is PRICEY! Food...beers...drinks...everything...very pricey. I don't recall seeing a full entree for under $24 and most beers were at least $8.

I would probably go back here but cost could be prohibitive. Overall...good place though.
