Appearance: Dark Brown, Almost Black, Nice tan-brown head, 1.5 fingers, great lacing

Aroma: Roasted malts, dark chocolate, slightly caramel, toast, light esters from English Ale Yeast.

Taste: Lots of dark chocolate, grainy oats, backed up with sweet caramel and toast.

Mouthfeel: Medium-Full Bodied, medium carbonation, slick mouth feel from oats. Exactly what I would expect.

Overall: A great beer from a brewery that is quickly gaining my favoritism for beers in Alabama.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into shaker pint glass. Bottle date was muddled, but this was just released, so I think it would be less than 1 month old.

A: Pours black with hints of rich dark brown. Two to three finger tan head that settles to a thin cap and leaves some spotty lacing.

S: Bitter dark chocolate, warm hot breakfast cereal, and charred wood.

T: Unsweetened chocolate, steel cut oatmeal, and roasted malts.

M: Full bodied, tending towards stout territory more than a porter. Nice creamy finish.

O: Very nice job. I need to go pick up some more of these.

Pours a very dark brown colour. Roasty oaty, slightly sweet chocolate malt, slightly bitter nose, and notes of bourbon vanilla. Smooth and rich, tastes like bittersweet chocolate, mocha, dutch processed cocoa, and a dry, light roasty finish. Medium bodied, carbonated well. A straightforward porter.

Pours a rich, deep black-brown with billowing head. Aroma is mildly pleasant with chocolate notes. This is an exceptionally smooth and tasteful porter with chocolate notes. The oatmeal and chocolate malts deliver a balanced brew, good to the last drop. My wish is that this was available in my state.

Best beer I've had from them. Pours a solid dark brown, smells like coffee and chocolate. Lots of roasted notes and chocolate in this beer. Really well done!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via a friend from work---Thanks Randy!
This fine porter pours a murky dark brown with a moderate head of
off white foam that settles to a thin ring, subtle pool, and shows no lacing.
Nose of rich chocolate, cola notes, subtle cream, and light char with mild oats.
Flavors follow the nose with a lightly char touched chocolate flavors with a
touch of cream and marshmallow with a mild oatmeal mildness that encompasses
this fine brew. Nice mouth feel; medium carbonation, medium body, and a lightly
dry chocolate touched finish.

Overall; a stellar porter.

Cheers
