On hearing that Blue Pants has, unfortunately, closed, I discovered I had never entered my review of this beer, which I had a couple of times In 2017 and 2018 poured from a 12-oz. can into a tumbler and then a faceted mug.

Pours (poured) decently black with a light-tan head, soon gone. Aroma was overwhelmingly chocolate, as was the flavor, with a bitter finish.

From a can. Pitch black color with tan head. Smells of chocolate. Medium feel with high carbonation. Sweet malt, brown sugar, and chocolate flavors. Would be a great dessert beer!

From a can at the 2018 Decatur Beer Fest.
Pours with a clear dark reddish-brown body topped with a very good tan head.
Sweet, appealing aroma with a lot of caramel
The flavor is bittersweet and has good harmony and complexity.
Medium+ body with medium carbonation.

Looks good black anak bat or kahki head. Aroma lots of dry coco powder and anise don't get sweet candy bar. Taste is about the same dry coco powder, since dark fruits, anise, not really sweet a little astringent. Mouhfeel is medium and dry. Overall not a great stout, maybe I just had an off batch as it's rated good anyway.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is pitch black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is sweet malt and toffee. The taste follows the nose with a healthy dose of carbonation.

Poured from bottle to a pint. Dark black with light tan 1" head that hung around. Sweet smell, with a slightly sour hint. Pretty carbonated, but I kinda like that. First few tastes were a little odd, but 1/4 way through I really started to enjoy it. Very sweet, I felt like I was picking up a fruity note too... cherry maybe? Anyways, I enjoyed it.

A - Pitch black pour with a thick and frothy off white caramel colored lacing and foamy. Foam sticks on the sides of the glass like gooey cotton-candy.

S - Sweet cocoa and creme aroma.

T - Follows the nose with sweet cocoa and creme from start to finish and a lingering delicate bittersweet. Finish is candy-like,

M - Over carbonated for the style which gives this fuller bodied beer a lighter "airier" mouthfeel. Really falls short in this category. Coats the mouth with a layer of candy cocoa.

O - The best aspect of this beer is the ABV is completely hidden.

Poured into a pint glass. On tap at LD's Beer Run, Jackson, MS

A: Blackish brown with a tan one finger head that hung out. Ample lacing.

S: Gets your attention right away. Caramel, toffee, nuttyness, chocolate, roasty. It's a candy bar in a bottle!

T: Chocolate slides in with a caramel/toffee tango without the nuts. Just smooth and creamy candy bar goodness. Cocoa and coffee in the background.

M: Medium all the way. Creamy.

O: One of the better Pinstripe variants. My wife loved it. Would go well with ice cream or chocolate chip cookies. Yum!

Poured from a bottle into a snifter (new release). Opaque medium-dark brown with a modest tan head. Lots of caramel on the nose, with some peanut and a little cocoa. Less one-dimensional on the first sip: cocoa, caramel, toffee, some peanut, coffee, and roast. Full-bodies and sweet but not cloying. Medium-carbed.

A: Darkish brown, 1 inch head on gentle pour.

S: Sweet Chocolate and Light peanut.

T: light chocolate, I'm not getting any peanut. Not s lot going on here
and somewhat disappointing.

F: Carbonation. Wow, due to the amount of carbonation, this beer is really filling.
Too much carbonation in my opinion.

O: I'm glad I got the chance to try, but many better stouts out there.

Look: pours completely black with nearly two fingers of tan froth.
Smell: wow, you can smell the peanut butter and caramel from a mile away. Sweet, roasty, and nutty.
Taste: at first it tastes like peanut butter and marshmallow, but it finishes with a slightly metallic bitterness. That's unfortunate, but it smells amazing and tastes pretty good, but its parting shot is a strange bitterness.
Feel: thin and bubbly. Maybe a bit too much carbonation?
Overall: The Double Stuff version of the Pinstripe Stout is probably more enjoyable overall, but I'm giving this one a fairly high score mainly because of that smell. It was like opening a dessert bomb in the room.

Pours a dark brown that you can see through, light khaki head minimal retention. Smell is all marshmallow, sweet, a little milk chocolate and caramel. Taste is lighter on the marshmallow though still sweet, toasty. Mouth feel is medium. This a dessert beer all the way that smells like straight up marshmallows.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter.

A: Pours pitch black with 1-2 finger light tan head with decent retention that settles to a thin cap and leaves some light lacing.

S: Aroma is spot on for a Heath candy bar. Rich toffee and caramel. Hints of peanut butter.

T: Straight up candy bar. Butterscotch, caramel, and toffee mixed with milk chocolate.

M: Full bodied and average carbonation. Finish is a touch sweet.

O: Yet another great one in the pinstripe series. Very well done!

L - A dark anodized bronze with minimal mocha colored head.

S- Carmel sweetness. Reminds me of ST creme brulé.

T- initial taste is great Carmel, lacto sweetness, roasty chocolate notes, but finishes a little too bitter for me.

F - a little thin but sticks to your mouth.

Overall - if you like sweet beers this is pretty darn good. I'd say it's slightly better then creme brulé

On tap at the brewery.
Opaque dark brown.
Smells like butterscotch. Holy god that's obvious and amazing. It's so pervasive I can smell it over three IPAs and a food truck and it never fades.
It's appropriately viscous, even if I think I'd prefer it colder. It's sweet. Maybe too sweet; but lightly tempered by hints of roast/coffee. Vanilla is evident, or coconut, along with the same butterscotch candy I got in the nose.
This beer is appropriately named. It IS candy. If you like that, you will like this. That said, I've got to knock it a bit for being so overwhelmingly unidimensional.

This is really good the mix of caramel and peanut butter but it is very sweet. Think a werther's candy dipped in peanut butter. It smells like butterscotch. Even though this bottle was extremely fresh there was a lot of particles floating around. Held a nice head with minimal lacing. It was a little thin on the tongue which was odd considering how sweet it was.
