Poured on draft at local bottle shop.
A: Pours a remarkably clear deep black with smallish one finger head. Fairly short retention but leaves some nice lacing.
S: Roasted malts, espresso, and dark chocolate.
T: Blend of good coffee, rich roasted malts, and bitter dark chocolate.
M: Full bodied but not thick. On average a touch thin for the style.
O: Very nice beer. Looking forward to a barrel aged version of this one.

November 12th, 2015 - This is the last of three brews from Blue Pants and by far the best. Their stout pours a nice dark color (though the room is covered in a moody, dim glow) with about a finger of teriyaki brown foam. I drill down into the mottled fluff and get dry and stuffy smells of cocoa and cobwebs, with a little char. It smells aged, and though it hasn't lost freshness, it doesn't exhibit any of the raw silliness of some imperial stouts. The flavor is quite good, with a good oak note up front and a noticeable balance between the sinewy malt bill and the sweeter elements. There's a slight blandness up front as long as the beer is cold and fresh from the refrigerator, but with warmth this blandness matures into a bundle of notes similar to a Belgian Strong Ale, with darker fruits coming into play.

Pitch black color with a light briwn lacing that lingers. The nose is boozy and harsh. The taste is hot, some roastyness, but with a side of indegestion. The feel is crisp and alcohol burning. Overall this is not that good of a beer.

Nice beer with a high abv. Tastes similar to some bourbon agreed stouts I've tried. Not bad, no frills, nothing offensive, I might try one again. Not as sweet as some of their previous versions like the candy bar and the double stuff.

L-Dark black color with a brown 1 inch head that leaves a lacing
S-light bourbon smell with a dark chocolate and coffee mix
T-The dark chocolate and coffee hit you at the front end then the bourbon taste takes over and stays with you for the finish with some alcohol
F-full bodied feel with a creamy carbonation
O-I did not think the bourbon would be in this beer but it was a nice surprise. Loved the beer
