Poured from a bomber into a Newport Storm snifter.
A - Translucent gold with a lot of creamy head and lots of bubbles rising to the top.
S - Sweet and fruity with a touch of funkiness. Pretty much what you'd expect from a fruit saison.
T - Very nice, though the saison characteristics barely come through. Strawberry, wine grapes, and apples all come through nicely with this one. There's just a hint of funkiness and spiciness in the aftertaste. Tastes more like a fruity wit beer.
M - Light bodied, smooth, and lots of carbonation. Very easy drinking.
This was quite a surprise and makes me want to try more from Blue Pants Brewery. Not much in terms of saison characteristics, but I could see myself drinking this a lot in the summer. I bet it pairs great with a light meal. Nice, light drinking from this saison.

You can tell it’s a saison but I can’t get past the metal tartness flavoring from the keg. This saison poured from Southern Soul in St Simons Island GA is subpar at best. I was expecting a farmhouse style with loads of strawberry. This is below my expectations.

On tap at the brewery.
Ummm. It's flesh-colored. Opaque murky tan-pink. But it smells divine. Sour dried apricots. It tastes like apricot too, but also berries and muddy-weird yeast. Not entirely recommended. I was really surprised to see this bills iteself as a strawberry saison. I get neither qualifier from the beer I'm drinking.

Not a fan of the style, but this one is enjoyable.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: murky golden hue with just the lightest hint of pink to it. Head poured a couple fingers of creamy white foam and stuck around for a damn long time. A good looking beer!
Smell: lightly sour funk with a pleasant-enough strawberry character. Nothing crazy but well-enough made.
Taste: very lightly funky with an earthy character brought by the strawberries which I think complements the saison characteristics. Subtle but enjoyable.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a great big creaminess. Just a mouth-filling wonder. Woo!
Overall: this is a pretty good beer. I am not usually big on strawberry brews, but this one comes together quite well indeed.

Serving: Bottle
Appearance: Dusky deep amber with blush highlights. Murky and opaque Large fluffy white head and good retention.
Smell: Yeast, biscuits. floral and hint of citrus?
Taste: This is a very mild crisp summer saison. The strawberry is definitely fresh and present but it is more of a year round strawberry than the sweeter june bearing type.
mouthfeel: Aqueous, there and gone
Overall: I don't feel like I've had a beer at all. Pleasant and easy but nothing to write home about.

12 ounce bottle poured into a Highland Brewing Snifter glass
A - pours up cloudy with about the same color as pear juice, with a one and one half inch head, great retention, but strangely enough, not a whole lot of lacing.
S - I love the nose on this. My sense of smell has always been poor, but this one just has a nice floral aroma to it.
T - very crisp flavor profile that is a lot like your typical saison. What seems to make it different is the strawberry flavor which leads to a tartness not usually found in a saison.
M - good carbonation with a clean finish and not much of an aftertaste.
O - This is one easy to drink and will no doubt be a local favorite from a great up and coming brewer.
