What can I say about this elixir? Pours a coppery orange into a sixteen ounce pint glass with an off-white head of about a finger's depth which dissipates quickly leaving a distinctive garter-belt lacing behind. As a noob I'm at a loss to describe quite why this brew appeals to me so...but I await its return every year and stock up when it does. To me, it just tastes like Fall in Maine Ever since the first taste I had of this on draft at the Gorham Sebago Brewing many years ago I've been hooked. Wish it were available year-round.

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a transparent dry dark amber color with a thin cap of a white little head. Mild messy lacing. The aroma takes in mildly sweet to spicy rye initially and then some citrus and piney playing with a sly sweet caramel malty sweetness. The flavor takes in all of the previously mentioned aromas to blend and then give give that kick of the spice in the aftertaste bumps and then bites into the finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation feels fairly low. Overall, another nice beer by Sebago, always a solid brewery.

Look: Clear amber with thin head and sticky lacing.
Smell: Smoked floral hops, honey.
Taste: Honey on the front, finishes with floral hoppiness and sort of a nice clean green tea taste.
Feel: Thin mouth feel.
Overall: Interesting flavors here. A bit too hoppy for my liking, but for the style, not a bad brew. 6/10.

A- Pours with a deep red to light brown body from the can to a snifter. Atop the brew a light tan cap forms with a thick creamy consistency and rises to about one finger high. Good retention as a massive ring at the edges drops thick sheets of lacing.
S- Fairly mild and timid overall without a whole lot going on. What is there is balanced with citrus and earthy hops melding in with slightly sweet, toasted grains. Nothing overly distinct.
T- Opens up with a bit more strength than what the aroma was able to deliver and things become a bit more distinct. bready and toasted, semi sweet malts lay down a base for hops which give notes of orange zest, earthiness and floral tones. A bit of that rye spice and sweet feel but mostly a breadiness.
MF- Silky and smooth medium body. A bit slick with a moderate level of carbonation. Ends with an herbal bitterness.
Not a brew that will blow the taste buds away with bold flavors but a well brewed beer with a balance of toasted, slightly sweet malts, rye and hops.

Pours a copper, light brown color with a small airy head.
The aroma is hoppy with a spicy rye malt. A piney lemony twang from the hops and a peppery bready note from the malt.
The taste is of a bready malt. Notes of brown bread and rye. A little nutty Noticeable rye flavor. The hops are piney and savory, some dankness.
The feel is moderate with prickly carbonation. Sweet to start but finishes bitter and slightly dry.
A nice flavorful IPA. The rye provides some good depth.
