The nitrogenation may give this a misleadingly high score, owing to what it imbues to the look, feel, and even odor.
The beer, however, is just fine. That being said, I find it far from the best example of the style, given the ubiquity of nitro stouts, these days. A strange sweetness runs amok in a beer too thin for its own good, with an excellent aftertaste of caramel, chocolate, and coffee.

Browner than expected with Guinness/Beamish in mind, but a rich and inviting brown. Subtle but noticeable whiff of alcohol on the nose. Classic dry stout flavors and feel but short-lived. Overall, nothing to blow your socks off, but a smooth and comfortable beer and one that's easy to chalk down as a "go-to".

At Gallaghers in Cork. Smooth, tastey.

Decanted into a conical pint glass; nitro can with a serial number but no date. Pours almost black with this effervescence, then clearing typical of this carbonation strategy; after clearing, thick, khaki head with long retention and lacing. Nose remarkable for smooth maltiness with almost a "meat drippings" note. Initial very sweet to the palate, with maltiness and black coffee to mocha throughout to the finish. Full mouthfeel. I "grew up" on stouts and tend to favor darker, fuller brews, in general, so I will acknowledge some bias here.

Got it from Romania, can 0.5l

A - Tick, creamy with two finger foam. Black with low carbonation. Excellent.
S - Coffee malt, with malty aroma in all. Chocolate malt in the back.
T/M - Smooth, drinkable, balanced. Medium bitterness with coffee like aroma in the back, but nothing too much.

O - More then decent.
