Pours a dark ruby-tinged body with a finger of creamy tan head lacing down the sides of the glass. The nose is very chocolatey, with some slight coffee and caramelized grain coming over as well in a way that is richer than the average Guinness. On the palate, a deep, roasted bitterness swathes the palate, making way for a sharper hop-based bitterness in the aftertaste, with flavors of coffee now dominating over the assumed powerful chocolate. It is a very rich and creamy beer, however, it does an excellent job of this while also not going overboard in terms of alcohol or sweetness. Awesome stout, my new restaurant go-to stout.

Being of County Cork Stock Murphy's is a staple on my drinking list, not heavy on the carbonation, not as thick on the tongue but still retains on the great qualities of an Irish Stout, what is impressive is they make this stout feel lighter on the tongue than most stouts tend to. It's enjoyable in the summer as well as the winter and goes with all meals. Salante

I wanted to like this one. But it too thin and too boring. I ended up pouring it down the sink.

Poured from a chilled can into a pint glass. Jet black with some ruby highlights. Faint aroma of freshly baked biscuits. Decent lacing around the glass. Taste was of white bread and biscuits. Mouth feel was smooth and creamy. Over all a good stout. I liked this better than Guinness.

Surprised that I am enjoying the flavor and feel of this brew more than a Guinness. Looks a beauty with deep coffee color with fluffy light-beige head. Nice aroma, coffee and burnt malt. Soft bitterness that eases in gracefully. Lighter body but a pretty good showing.
