Sometimes good things appear right before your eyes. Pier Paulista is located right next door to the famous Asterix. While PP (giggle) may not have the extensive bottle selection as its next door neighbor, it does have many of the `basic´ craft imports, correct glassware, and lower prices than Asterix. It´s not exactly intimate or as fun to look around as Asterix, but let´s get to the point. You can find Erdinger, Franiskaner, Duvel, Delirium, Tripel Karmeliet, Old Speckled Hen, Paulistânia, Coopers, and others. I ordered an Erdinger Urweiss, got it poured into an Erdinger weizen glass by the waiter, then it swirled in the last third of the bottle. Sweet! For São Paulo, the prices are solid, though a gringo visiting Sampa for the first time may think otherwise.
