L- This saison pours into a very fine looking ale with a nice lacy head and a champagne-like bubblyness. Straw gold in color with some nice haze.
S- Smells great. First off there's a great sour funkiness, followed by a wheat maltiness, grassy hops, sweet honey and fresh chamomile, fresh herbs with a strong earthy floral scent.
T- Subtle, but good. Sweet, yet sour and funky. Sweet wheat, with a nice chamomile flavor. Spiced extremely well, with a great floral finish. All favors mesh very well to keep this summery and light beer interesting.
F- Nice bubbly mouthfeel, but heavier feeling on the tongue than I wish. Kind of juicy to be honest.
O- Very well crafted classic swing on the farmhouse ale style. Organic and earthy in nature. Seems like something perfect for the summer, so I'll have to check it out again when it isn't freezing outside.

I drank this during the day when it was pretty warm (despite being January) and I have to say it was very thirst quenching.

Look: light yellow hazy with a very thick chalk white head

Aroma: It has a wonderful herbal/floral fragrance.

Flavor: The flavor is grains, wheat and oat, it's floral, herbal tea, Chamomile tea, and slightly tart lemon.

Feel: light body, tad watery, quite drinkable

Really enjoying this beer!

Clear yellow with a nice foamy head and good lacing. Nicely fragrant floral and herbal smell. Tastes lemony and herbal. Not sweet but it has a satisfying and comforting flavor, with a hint of funk in the finish. Something I will get again.

holy cow this is good, 2015 bottle holding up incredibly well for being such a low alcohol and delicate beer, i was sure some of the herbs and botanicals would have faded out a bit, but i was wrong, aside from an obvious wild maturity and familiar jester king dryness, this beer tastes fresh and new and blooming still to me. maybe a touch more bitterness from the added plants has creeped in, but its all real flattering. i love the beers these guys make, especially these session wild foraged saisons, i love the medicinal property here and the unique seasonality of it, bretty and complex from a yeast side without taking over some of its delicacy, and tart without being too sour to be drinkable, i did the whole bottle almost entirely by myself and wasnt over it when the beer was gone! i can taste the rye in here and feel the contribution of the oats in the body, the multigrain base of this makes it sort of taste and drink like a grisette or something, especially with the wild elements. i could pick this out as a jester king beer out of a million beers, such a distinct culture. the herbs make it taste fresh, tea-like, springy, and alive. epic carbonation, a slight floral bitter thing like hibiscus or elderflower in the finish, brett and subtle peach and apricot. epic beer, way underrated, aged super well! i love these guys, cant wait to check out their brewery later this month!

edit: batch two of this is a totally different beer, down at super low alcohol and done with chamomile and holy basil instead of the herbs in the version listed here. its even more herbal and delicate than the first one, still with some wheaty body, surprising for its crazy low abv, and the basil element is subtle but awesome in here, tea-like with the chamomile. a brilliant beer, as good as the first one at least. hoping they keep tweaking the herbs each time this is made. i absolutely loved this!

Foggy gold with a large white foam that slowly dies to nothing and stays that way.

Smell starts with hints of amaretto and lavender after popping the bottle, then those permanently depart, giving way to sticky, wild and funky honey, beeswax, lemon bar filling, and pepper. Strange herbs with a dried floral bouquet wrap up the final smell, which is like a much less potent potpourri.

Taste starts with tart lemon and waxy honey. The yeast translates to something unique to Jester King, becoming airy and not very funky or woody like many of their beers. Hints of lime pop in, and an herbal and floral finish really bring to mind a bouquet of all sorts of wild plants.

This one is everything a traditional farmhouse beer should be. It's pretty subtle in flavor with lots of funk and a nice crisp clean finish. There isn't a ton going on, but this is perfect for a hot day.
