Pours a cloudy, vibrant light-orange with a finger of white head that's quick to dissipate into a thin film across the top.

Nice sour aroma with peaches, vinegar and oak.

It's not quite as tart and vinegary as the nose prepared me for. Some Bowie-level barnyard funkiness is in there, but the peach and apricot are relatively strong. Apricot especially lingers for a very long time in the aftertaste, mingling with the wood, such that a touch of juicy sweetness shows through the acidity.

It's much fuller bodied and creamier in the feel than expected for the style. Just enough carbonation to keep it lively upon swallowing.

This is a really well-crafted and perfectly fruity sour. To my taste, I think the Belgian classics have a little more bite, but this is certainly in the same class as anything I've had from Cantillon or 3F. It's an absolute pleasure to try. 6/23/17 blending date.

Out of one of those little bottles, split with a friend. huge aroma of fruit on the nose. The taste follows through, delicious, very jammy. I think that adding a lot of two fruits pushed them both to the extreme. The underlying spon beer is a very nice guezesque beer and this overall is fantastic

Draft at the brewery.

A: Looks nearly identical to Methode Gueuze. Hazy orange, apricot skin hue. Thin white head.

S: The nose is unreal. Quite possibly the best smelling stone fruit beer I've had, at least comparable to some of de Garde's. Incredible fresh apricot flesh and skin, juicy peach starts to show as it opens up. Fruit shines, not much funk.

T: Not a juice bomb on the taste, so you may be disappointed if you expect that. Still plenty juicy, but much more balanced. Lots of oak, some funk and some malt blends very well with fruit here. Fruit started to show a bit more as it opened. I thought this may have been similar to Fou before trying, but it was very different.

F: No real complaints here, perfect acidity, a bit more effervescence would put it to a 5. Very dry.

O: I really love this blend and could smell this beer indefinitely. I'm honestly not sure what to expect as this ages as the flavors we already very well blended. Will be interesting to see what changes over time. Will be opening a bottle soon, will note if there are any changes.

Very lovely - both the peach and the apricot shine as distinct flavors

Batch 2 (2017). Poured into a SPON glass. Hazy pale orange color with decent carb that dissipates quickly into a ring. Nose is dominated by apricot ice cream, with funk, peach, and mild sewage. Palate starts with barnyard, following with a punch of sweet peach and apricot, with underlying funk throughout. Super interesting and fairly complex brew; the sweet fruits and barnyard play together well. Worth trying.

We patiently bided our time over the course of two days and had the great fortune of getting a pour of this at the third session of the Shelton Brothers festival.

Appearance is mostly clear lustrous sheen of gold-peach with a faint white ring.

The fruit seems to have mellowed out the funk of the base to an almost tropical level, with peach and apricot all bright sunshiny on the nose.

A little herbal addition presents in flavor, with peach and apricot well showcased, making me wish I'd been able to score a bottle or taste of Fen Tao for comparison's sake. It bears repeating that the fruit really does a number on this brew, with the regular being far more funky, spicy and hop forward.

Finish is very dry.
