For over a decade, we've had a great affinity for well-attenuated, crisp, hoppy, herbal ales with subtle but interesting pure culture fermentation character.
Bitter Death was brewed with Texas malted barley and malted wheat from TexMalt and a touch of flaked oats. It was hopped aggressively at nearly 3 pounds per barrel with Perle, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, and Tettnanger. We probably were more aggressive with the hopping than tradition would dictate, but dry, herbal, and bitter was our M.O. here. 100% naturally conditioned.
We get notes of white tea, dried hydrangea petals, bread dough, Texas toast, Euro-skunk, cannabis, dehydrated lime citrus wheels, caraway, and walking through the Hill Country on a spring day after it rains.

16oz can served in a curvy Fremont glass. If there's a date, I don't see it. Got it in a trade from @MrSandman101.
Pours clear golden with a big, stiff head that collapses over a few minutes and leaves big chunky lacing and a crinkly looking island in the middle. Looks pretty carbonated. Smell is grass and lemon with just a bit of funk.
Taste is bitter with a strong grassy vein, has a bit of a grainy flavor, lemon rind. Ghostly shadows of honeysuckle sweetness.
Mouthfeel is very dry, light, clean. Overall, really nice.

Would score higher if it had more on the nose. Other than that it's a awesome beer. Very refreshing.

25.4oz bottle, Batch #1 - bottled April 2021. Opened 9-19-21.
12.7oz pour. 2 finger rocky and long lasting head. Early lacing clings to the glass as the head slowly recedes.
Straw golden with ample active carbonation and great clarity.
JK funk/fermentation is the initial aroma followed by grass/hay hoppiness and some lemon-lime notes.
A bit of perfumey yeast character, and then the hops...grassy, a little skunky (think Pilsner Urquell), spicy, leafy, and overall very tasty!
Light body, high carbonation. Clean, dry, and hoppy finish. Highly drinkable.
Outstanding.

Look: hazy golden with a thick white head
Aroma: dough, tropical fruits, tea
Flavor: The flavor is bread dough, tea, some citrus, tropical tree leaves, there's a grassy bitterness at the end
Body/Overall: light to medium body, IBU 43, it is refreshing and brings to mind a rainforest. I loved this one.
