750mL bottle from Justdoit1234 (thanks man!). Batch 18, bottled 5/26/15. Served in a goblet.

Pours a pale, opaque yellow orange with three fingers of near-explosive white head. The froth is slow to settle, leaving a fluffy collar that imparts some large sheets of lace.

Aromas of semi sour citrus, earthy funk, pineapple, wet hay and a slight hint of oak. I've come to enjoy a Brett-heavy nose and that is exactly what this has going on.

A familiar, earthy Brett funk is first and foremost in the flavor blend along with supporting notes of pineapple, oak, wet hay, apple skin, mild spice and apricot. There is considerably more fruit than expected and this is super easy to drink.

Light, fluffy body with smooth carbonation. All the right elements (for my tastes) of Brettanomyces continue in the fruity, earthy, funky finish.

Das Wunderkind is one of the fairly rare saisons that I really enjoy. The light body seems to be an ideal vehicle for delivery of optimal Brett and oak character, making this on of the more flavorful low abv beers that I've had.

Smells of lemon, orange peel, candied fruit, and some general funkiness.

Taste is initially tart, although not overwhelmingly so, with nice citrus flavor. More of an orange or tangerine type of citrus with a slightly bitter finish. Once again, I like the somewhat creamy mouthfeel from the beer being unfiltered.

I've really enjoyed my first two experiences with Jester King beers - really drinkable but with some complexity and interesting characteristics.

Poured this into a grand cru glass and it is a golden color. It gave me about 2 inches of head and you can't see through the brew when you put up to the light. The smell is a metallic funk but it tastes very good. You get a slight sour taste with a light oak taste that compliments the brew. Overall it's an easy and tasty drinker.

This beer was not very good. It felt like an experimental homebrew that the brewery bottled to make some money from unsuspecting fans.

Yet another disappointing beer from the Jester King lineup.

Tart and refreshing. Light on the tongue, but wonderfully substantial. Nose is all morning dew and apple, with just a tough of breadiness. The wheat-bread and biscuit notes mix on the tongue with a honey-ish sweetness and a crisp finish. Very little in the spice department. Utterly drinkable.
